Rehearsal was really fun, and we had Alvin Ing today and he's great.

I can imagine "Eating Raoul" as being terrible on stage. I think the score tells so much of the story that talking would drag it down.

Cool!  He was in both Broadway productions of Pacific Overtures. :D

I wonder how often that's happened...someone was in the original production of a show and then was in a revival many years later.

DR Jane - The doctor who operated on my foot was an orthopedic surgeon.  Richard and I felt we needed to become established with a podiatrist and one of my professional friends went to this one for surgery similar to mine.  She was very pleased and I'd heard another recommendation, too.

From DR Cilla:
Quote
I am having such a hard time trying to find a cat sitter.  And I worry about what happens if there is a snow storm when I'm gone.  With Sharon I didn't worry, but I don't know with other people.  So I'm going to go out to http://www.dogwoodpethotel.com/index.html and check out their cat wing.   I may be able to have all three cats stay in the same suite.  There is a live in caretaker so if there is a storm someone is there to care for the animals.  It's worth checking out.  It seems to be more dog oriented, but they have a cat wing, so I'm thinking this may not be bad.

I hope this works out so you don't have to worry about your cats getting sick while you are gone.

Hmmm....cat wings.  Are they anything like chicken wings?

;)

Well, I have officially cancelled my Dec, trip to NYC.   Besides the cat sitting issue, after I booked the trip I found out I was going to miss an all america concert band concert.  then I found out I'm going to miss a flute choir performance and they don't have another alto flute available that day.  And since the scam artist imm. lawyer near here died, I'm starting to get flooded with people at work who need help.  So, I'm going to put the trip off until January or February.   My stress level really went down just knowing I can still do the things I want to.

Hi all.  I just wanted to check in and make sure everyone is ok.  Does anyone need anything?

Work has eased up a bit.  I hate to say anything because it's so changeable.  This has been the worse 2 years of my life, work wise.

I think things will start moving on the house.  I'm hoping they will start the week of Thanksgiving to pour the concrete.  I will be out of town.  Going to PIttsburgh to spend the holiday with my ex sister in law and her kids.  I'm very excited.

DR Danise I hope this will be the beginning of only good things to come.  I'm also excited you are going to Pittsburgh.  Do they have power?

I imagine they will by Thanksgiving!

Needless to say, "Casablanca" is still one of the greats. I focused tonight on how astounding Claude Rains is, and how different he is from when he and Ingrid did "Notorious." Is there a character actor on the scene today as versatile as he was?

There is talk of some people being without power until the end of November. That could be after Thanksgiving, given how early it is this year.
