Last night, when my lights when out, I watched "The Mirror Crack'd" on my laptop.  I had seen when it was released in 1980.  It was amazing to think that Angela Lansbury was only a few years older than Elizabeth Taylor, who still looked great.

You need to card those trick-or-treaters. If they don't have picture ID, they might grow up to commit voter fraud.

Just in time for Halloween: "Curse of the Demon" from the library. With Dana Andrews and Peggy Cummings. I hope it's empty-headed fun. I could use it tonight.

It's fun, based on "Casting the Runes" by M.R. James. Does your DVD include the British cut?
Yes, actually it has both. I think I'll only watch the British version.

It was super hot here today. Something like 70F. I was wearing a t-shirt. When i went to pick up my niece at daycare they had her in pants, splash pants, a tshirt, a long sleeve sweatshirt, a jacket. And a wool hat???

I told her if she is too hot she needs to tell them. I have no idea why they would dress little kids like that when it is so hot out. But the kids are all 1-4. So they don't say anything.

Do they figure the children need to wear all the clothes they were dropped off with?

Tonight would have been so perfect for Halloween. I think it will be warmish tomorrow. Just worried about the rain.

As long as there isn't much rain I would prefer that to freezing temps.

Fell asleep last night fairly quickly, lulled to sleep by the sound of the rain on the roof (pit-pitty-pat-pitty.) When I woke up, I found out that our office was open but I had already decided I was staying home.  Spent the day doing work at the laptop.  Took a walk around the outside of the house to check for any damage.  All I found was a small branch that had broken off the dogwood tree in the front yard and an empty egg carton embedded in one of the yew shrubs.

I am considering myself darned lucky and blessed today.

That's great.  I was wondering if you had lost power.  I tend to forget where you moved to so I couldn't check the news.

Do you all remember the lady down the hall who made my life miserable during the 2008 bed bug madness? She saw my Facebook post about the ghost in the lobby tonight and called me. I've got her all freaked out.

That is funny.  Why 14. I've definitely seen 16 year olds occasionally go out with their friends. Why not if they want to?  One year I was 20something and since i'm only 5'3 I wore a mask and nobody knew how old i was (i got candy). There are plenty of 14 year olds taller! :)

I'm hoping it is not much rain. Won't know till tomorrow. I agree it is much better when it is warm. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Right now the high for tomorrow is supposed to be low 60s. So it could potentially be 50-60F at 6pm.

No, I don't know what their problem is. It's so dumb. I showed up in a t-shirt and she was in 3 layers. I made her take all her stuff off right there.

I think they don't check the temps before they get them ready. It has been changing here day by day. Some days 60s some days cold.

Now onto to something for serious fun: John Cullum, Juliet Prowse and Harvey Evans in a bootleg of "Follies." Picture quality isn''t great, but it's "Follies."

Last week, I received (from Amazon.co.uk) the 2-CD London cast recording of Follies for only £9.95...but it was listed under the 1-CD highlights release.  The seller specified in the description that it was the 2-CD release and it was!  At the time that I bought it, there was only one other 2-CD recording available and it was over £20 AND that seller didn't list "International & domestic delivery rates," so I couldn't have gotten it, anyway.  There's one now for £17.95, but they also specify only "Domestic delivery rates."

I'm going tomorrow! Although I doubt i'll get any candy. But if anyone offers i won't refuse.

I asked my niece (the 3year old) if she would give me her Reese's pieces if she got any. She thought about it. And was going to say no. Then i told her it was peanut butter and her mother would not let her eat it anyways. So she agreed.

She is not allergic. But she has never eaten/tried peanut butter.

I am curious what DR Cillaliz and her mother thought of tonight's DWTS. A lot of people are saying that there should not have been an elimination this week due to the weather. I think i agree. So many people couldn't watch/vote.

No Private Practice tonight.

No Live with Kelly Halloween special tomorrow (on Monday instead). But the View said on their facebook page that they would be on live tomorrow.
