But probably more of an oyster teal and perhaps more orange marmalade than satsuma orange, right?

Elmore, spine to watch if I start to shrink, and hip because women are likely to break one.

And since it's still a bit foggy right now and very cool, I just headed back to my hotel room for a bit. I'll wait for the rush hour traffic(?) to die down before heading out on my bike.

In the meantime...

I was thinking more of a seaweed teal and an Anita Bryant orange (washed out and dehomogenized).

I noticed a new(?) donut place next to the Chelsea Hotel on 23rd Street.  The Donut Palace? I think that's its name.

Doughnut Plant

I believe that location opened last February (2011). The original storefront is on the Lower East Side. Some other Hainsies and Kimlets have been there. ;)

Today I'm going to see THE BIRDS on the big screen, one of the TCM/Fathom satellite-delivered "events".  It will be my first of these (and, if things go poorly, my last).  But ya gotta experience one sometime.  And I wanted to take the opportunity to see the movie projected large and get a look at this 100th-anniversary "restoration".  Not at all sure how good my judgement will be on it, but I shall look and try to learn.

Jose, that is so not fair. All I have to snack on at work are raw almonds and seaweed sheets. OK, and some 90% dark chocolate. Not a bad snack after all.

DR JohnG - Now you just need a small jar of cajeta and some Maldon. ;)

I have coarse pink Himalayan crystals instead. No cajeta. That's Devil's candy.

"Henry's Western Round-Up" just posted a wonderful review of my CHEYENNE WARRIOR II / HAWK screenplays.  It's the 2nd entry on his September 16th blog.

Thank you, Henry.

Good morning, all.

Happiest of birthdays, Larry.

In honor of your political comment, here's an anti-Romney bit you may enjoy. Dorothy Loudon singing a Kander-Ebb song that was the theme of the TV series, "The Thorns." (Frankly, I thought the video laid it on a little thick, but it's always nice to be reminded of a Kander-Ebb song.)

I loved it.

A long flight home yesterday.

It was late leaving due to weather.
Instead of flying down the east coast of Florida we had to fly over to the west coast and then fly back to east coast and Miami.
When we got to Miami we had to circle the airport until there was a break in the weather.
I actually heard a change in the engine when we got the okay to land.
We landed at the opposite end of the terminal that the flight usually lands at and was a long walk to the moving sidewalk to get to the parking lot.
And then 45 minute drive home.

And now to work

They flew you over to the West Coast?  That is horrible.  I am glad that you made it home safely!

And...

I'm still in my hotel room since I had to deal with some changes to my travel plans. I now have to be back in NYC on Monday, October 1, for the day - well, a few hours.

So, instead of flying back in Dulles that afternoon from Chicago, I will now be flying back to LGA early(!) that morning. Then running a casting session(!!) for three hours. Then flying back to Dulles from JFK that afternoon.

Whew!

Is this the silent version of THE BIRDS?
