While his right hand stays by his side, usually in his pants pocket. Apparently, anytime he used his right hand in rehearsal, it would automatically assume the "microphone position".

Me harassing the chorus. I was giving them stage names for the act one finale. To address the chorus, I had to climb on the last riser with the percussion. Catriona, the drummer, is looking at me rather bemusedly.
