Follies will be here on Thursday, five weeks ahead of the official ship date.  I think it's probably going to take two days to get them all out, but we'll move as fast as we can.  I've told the helper to hire someone to work with her that day.  Plus, these will go to a different post office branch until the thief of Studio City is caught.
Yippee on Follies!

I received the new Evita Broadway Cast CD.   I wonder if I'll think Elena Roger is as bad as a lot of people on the Broadway boards think she is.
We want a full report.

Something I didn't know: Someone posted on the Vintage LA page on Facebook a photo of Sardi's.  Yes, Sardi's had an LA version, opened in 1932 and around until at least the late 40s or early 50s - located on the north side of Hollywood Blvd. next door to the Admiral Theater, near Vine.  Today it's a sex shop and porno palace.

Don't remember knowing about an Admiral Theater there.

I learned a couple of years ago that Canter's on Fairfax was a theater (Esquire) in its former life.

That's my big contribution for the day.

HORRIBLE US Postal Service story, btw.  Abominable.

Just for comic relief, I have a little USPS story of my own that's not even a week old.

A friend and I drove from here to Orlando (we love car trips), making a number of stops along the way there and back.  I'd never seen the very deliberately kitschy tourist attraction "South of the Border" before that, and had a great time exploring it and sending out some postcards.  On the return trip I sent a few more postcards from Richmond, VA.  One of them happened to be to someone I'd sent one to a few days prior.

That trip was in September 1998.  My friend's two postcards were delivered to her on July 16, 2012.

If we had sound on this board you would hear Sheena snoring up a storm in the background.  LOL! :)

Story finished for tonight. Time for the rest of the sex on "Game of Thrones." Oops, I meant the culture. Yeah, that's why I watch it.

DR MBarnum, I keep meaning to ask:

That copy of REFORM SCHOOL GIRL seems to start midstream.  It actually has a little trouble playing in general, but I'm pretty sure it's missing some material.  Is that like your copy, or could this one just be a defective disc?

Recently I have noticed an unpleasant odor in my guest room/office. Smells like when someone spills milk and it isn't cleaned up and you get that awful sour smell.

Turns out it is this new (to me) cat litter I bought for Freddy. Won't be doing that again.

Hmmm...I will check my copy.

Just checked it ChasSmith, and the one I sent must be defective as my original starts with the American International Pictures logo and then the credits run.

I will make a new, improved copy for you (it is such a classic that you MUST see the whole thing) and with it, a DVD of trailers from 1950s/60s juvenile delinquent and teen movies which I made (transferring an old tape compilation to dvd).
