DR Elmore, I am very, very happy that you got a clean bill of colon health!

I know I should go in and have that done someday, but I don't want to. Or maybe I don't need to do it until I am over 50?

Is anyone here watching "Big Brother"

I am watching Big Brother....such a shocking show last night...although not terribly surprising.

I had serious reservations about Willie.  First, I thought highly of every houseguest who recognized Willie as likely being the brother of "Survivor's" Russell Hanzt.  I didn't think too highly of Britney selecting Willie as first HOH, but I hoped Willie might show us something different from his brother's total egomania.  He didn't.

His attitude after Frank was saved and won HOH was really piss-poor, and that final scene with Joe was just stupid.  I hope he never gets another reality series appearance.  He's unworthy.  Poor sportsmanship is not something even Russell is guilty of.

I find it quite strange that a peace loving person like myself should find out that so many of his Facebook friends (and family), due to recent posts they have made, seem to be obsessed with owning as many firearms as possible.

On a related note, I watched a documentary a few weeks back that took a look at what people in other countries think of U.S civilians. It was interesting, and most average folk seem to like us just fine. One thing in common that many of those questioned said, however, was that when they think of Americans they think of a populace who seem to be afraid of everything and everyone.

So, perhaps that explains in part, the love of guns in The US?

I was sort of hoping that Willie might turn out to be not such a bad guy, but I think that whole Hantz family is totally messed up.

I suspect it will be the end of any Hantz' being invited to play on any more reality competition shows.

I am proud of Brittany for standing up to the big bully! She did a good job cutting him down to size.

For the most part I like the players, although I am not too sure about Jojo. Coach wise, I would like to see Mike Boogie go away.

Be careful tomorrow, Larry. It's supposed to be another very hot, very humid day. I know you'll be in AC for some of it but it was nasty today and it's supposed to be the same tomorrow.

Last year, it was interesting that they brought back Dick and Danielle, Rachel and Brendon and Jordan and Jeff.  This year, I'm over "former" players taking the spotlight away from the new ones.  Let them play in All Stars shows and leave the new guys to make or break all by themselves.

I know CBS does this for ratings, but it truly prevents newer players from standing out and becoming as celebrated as the former players.

Well, the irony is ironic.  In today's notes I write about the postal thief.  I also mention the package we sent that sat in the Studio City branch for six days before getting to the sort facility in Santa Clarita.  Today, both packages arrived at their destinations.  Empty.  Yes, you heard that right - empty.  Re-sealed.  So, it is clear we have our very own Studio City thief and I've just been on the phone with the USPS and opened a claim (I told them that if my money was not returned, meaning the cost of the contents, that I would launch a lawsuit) - I only had one of the tracking numbers - waiting for the other one from the helper, but as soon as I have that I'll call back with that information.  Supposedly someone from Studio City USPS will be calling me within one business day.

I way overdid it yesteday.   I woke up in a lot of pain in the middle of the night.  I even had a dream that I went to an all night clinic and the doctor said "we told you it would take time".   Hrumph

And just this afternoon I told Keith how good you have been not to overdo it.  Funny dream though & better than mine are when I'm in pain.  I have nightmares of being tortured.

I worked for about 5 hours at the office and came home and read some things for work for a couple more hours. Since it's over 100 degrees again today, I didn't mind sitting here

This afternoon Craig went outside with Yogi & sat in the sunshine enjoying our nice weather.  He isn't too thrilled to be returning to the weather in Maryland.

My "midday" absence didn't end until 5pm.  Mom's appointment was at 11:30 and we went right from the doctor's office to the hospital for a chest x-ray, then to pick up the prescriptions they'd faxed from the office, then to lunch, then to her apartment to order (and soon receive) the breathing machine that the doctor prescribed.  I wouldn't be surprised if she has pneumonia...

Couldn't they tell you at the hospital if the x-rays showed pneumonia?  I would think if she has it they would call her doctor immediately.

Thanks DR Jane!

Now, if I can get you to watch some Bollywood movies! Baby steps.

DR Jane - the only person who saw the x-ray at the hospital was the tech who took the pictures.  It has to be read by a radiologist and Mom's doctor.  The doc had gone ahead and prescribed meds similar to those I had for pneumonia 10 years ago and I made sure she took today's doses of both of those.

Good job - I'm not going to say anything else other than good job to whomever did the good job.  Whoever did it knows exactly what I'm talking about, and I don't think it's much of a stretch to figure out who it is.  Bravo, dear.

It doesn't take long to diagnose pneumonia, at least not as far as I know, and since it should be treated quickly I figured it would be a priority.

It's always amazing to me that someone can come to this board every day, read every post, and look for ways to cause trouble.  It will never cease to amaze me.  It is truly nauseating and I live in hope that karma will take care of this person but good.

Just had a terrific telephonic conversation with someone - it's very early in the process but it could result in a life for some of our Kritzerland shows beyond where we do them - in other words, taking them to a different venue where there would actually be a budget to do them.
