DR John G, I've heard so many wonderful things about your friend who died in the shooting in Colorado.  She sounds like a wonderful person, you and her friends and family have my ongoing sympathy

I meant to mention that earlier.  She certainly touched a lot of people in her short life.

Yes, she did touch many people's lives. I haven't been able to read much of the stories, simply because too much of it is still conjecture at this point. And that kind of lazy investigating irritates me. We can wait until we have some answers, not just some hyperbole that some bloviator spews to fill a few column inches or a few seconds of air time.

Other than a few words that her brother said he was told by the friend that was with her at the theater,  all of things I have heard concerned her as an aspiring journalist and her work as an intern.

Having observed the behavior of my young, entitled neighbors I can pretty much guarantee you that they had no friends watching their dog for four weeks.

They've done right by her, it's all the speculation about the shooter's motivation and the comments of the neighbors and the conjecture about his schooling tied in, etc.

Is she going to be your guest star?  If so, let me know now so that I can start wheeling my way down to LA today.

Evening all!  I completed all tasks.  Everything is ship shape and Bristol fashion right down to the nap and dinner/dishes being done.  I would say it was a most productive day.  :)

I hate to say this but I think my Apple  may be going rotten.  I've noticed that sometimes it just throws a blank screen and I can't make it come back unless I power down and then back up.  That just happened.  I typed my post, hit post and the whole screen went blank.

Has that happened to any of you fellow apple users?

And I went to see The Music Man at the Arena State on its last day (there's one more show tonight).

I enjoyed The Music Man very much. Kate Baldwin and Burke Moses were great.

I know there was a lot of talk about changing the time period, but I didn't really notice much.  The wardrobe wasn't very flattering, though, I have to say.

Oh, and I happened to see a certain DR, named Jose.  We had a quick cold drink before the show.  It was nice to see him and to meet his brother, nieces and nephew, who all happend to be at the same performance.

From DR Jennifer:
Quote
I think some of my hobbies are rubbing off on her. She loves scrapbooking. She loves biking. She loves reading. And she loves swimming.

 :)

The first time I saw noodles was in Maui.  I was surprised how many people went into the ocean using them.

At swimming pools in the summer there are usually lots of swimming noodles. The kids love them.

Has anybody watched the new show POLITICAL ANIMALS? I'm not sure what channel it is on in the US. Here it is on Bravo. I'm almost finished the first episode and I really like it. I think there are 5 more episodes starting tonight.

From DR Cilla:
Quote
Well I had another 5 hour nap.  I think that the sleep is really helping me heal. I think I've slept about 12-14 hours a day all week.   I'm not taking any pain medication except Aleve and may cut back on that tomorrow.  I have a ton of work to do this week so I'm hoping my mind will clear and I can get it done.

Wonderful.  I'm constantly pleased to see how much care you are taking to heal.

Well, tomorrow it's back to work. Aleve seems to be doing what I need it to do today.  I got three loads of laundry done and vacuumed the livingroom where I've been sitting for a week.  I just couldn't look at the cat hair on the floor for one more day.   I'm trying to stay awake all day today, but am taking it easy and staying inside.  It's 100 degrees outside.
Glad to hear that your doing better DR Cillaliz.  You will be sore for awhile yet but if you could do all that today you must be on the mend.
