DR Jane, No, I'm not skittish in the car.  I just hate the rental car because the air conditioning doesnt' work very well and it's 95 degrees outside.  And we have had no rain in weeks.

Spending a couple of days in Wales at the moment. So far, it hasn't rained, which is very surprising!

One day I want to see Wales.

I want to see all those used book shops they have. That would be cool.

Can you exchange it for one with air?  It should work.

I have been rear ended a number of times and it always left me skittish for awhile.

the new car is Blizzard Pearl (white) with Bisque (tan) interior.  It has lots of things my other car didn't....like a sun roof with a solar panel that powers a fan in the car to vent out the hot air in the summer.   It has HD radio, XM radio, USB connections for a smart phone so you can use Pandora and weather apps.  It's a cool car.

Hopefully I'll get the check soon and won't have to have this car very long.  I left a message for my claim agent to see how long I can expect to wait now that the adjuster has done his thing. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow

It has all the air bags my last one did, but also has knee airbags for the driver.

Thanks John G.  I've been doing errands in the morning and coming home and taking the muscle relaxant and then I'm out like a light.  Today I didn't take the muscle relaxant and I'm doing fine without it

I'm really hoping there won't be a big delay in getting the money.

Back with clean teeth.  Picked up one package, which contained the Ernest Lehman script for The Man on Lincoln's Nose (soon to be retitled North by Northwest).  It's almost 200 pages long.  I'm looking forward to reading it thoroughly, but even in glancing through it, most of what I glanced at is what's in the film.  However, really interesting is that George Kaplan in this version is George Rosen and the villain played by James Mason isn't Van Damm but Mendoza.

Also included were shot lists for the drunk driving sequence and part of the Mount Rushmore sequence.

BK, do you report your sales to Billboard? It would seem to me in a week when Merrily We Roll Along can top the Billboard Broadway charts with 1,000+ copies sold that Follies, with orders of 1,300+ so far could also top the charts. Of course, it'd be gone the following week if it sells out, but at least for the week, the Kritzerland name would reach anyone looking at those sales lists. .

I wonder where they filmed the Mount Rushmore scenes?  Do you think they rented Jimmy Durante for a week or two?

Heads up, BK.....

There's some fresh meat waiting for you at HTF.   :)

It's all laid out on the table in the "Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" thread.

I decided to look around at other cars instead of just getting  another Prius.  Every car I looked at was missing something I really loved about my Prius.  So, I looked at all the options on the 2012 Prius' and decided that there was one on the dealer's lot here in town that has everything I want.   So, I went to the dealership. I know the people there and have gotten my last two cars there.  They were great.  They let me put the car on hold without a deposit until my insurance money comes it.  So they'll hold it on the lot and I'll buy it when the money comes it.  I'll be able to put enough down from the insurance money that my payment will actually be a lot lower than it was now.  I am happy.

That's great...of course, it's too bad that you have to crash your car to get a deal like that.

DR TCB I hope an adjustment in your meds can be made to reduce the cramping.  In the meantime, can you try heat after your PT appointments to relax the muscles?

There are a lot of Downton Abbey people nominated for the Emmys: Hugh Bonneville (Robert Crawley), Brendan Coyle (John Bates), Jim Carter (Mr. Carson) , Michelle Dockery (Mary), Joanne Froggatt (Anna), Maggie Smith.

And everyone of them, IMHO, is worthy of the nomination.

These are actually most of my favorites too.
