My niece's friend's father was a diver in the Olympics. He was at the pool this weekend diving. My niece was in awe. It was pretty neat to watch.

Had a really nice lunch with Alet - I'll miss her, but will see her in NY.

Picked up a couple of packages, finessed the Follies notes (well, more than finessed - really worked them) then sent them to the designer and Mr. Sondheim, did a few track lists, too.

I get to practice my German soon. I understand some echt Victor Herbert auf Deutsch is headed my way. I made sure to order my copy, Elmore, before Amazon started charging tax in Texas.

Thanks, Druxy, for the heads-up on that.

Which reminds me, I did not meet my friends to see MAGIC MIKE this weekend, as planned. Evidently, I did not miss much as they all gave it a big thumbs down.

But it was still better than LURE OF THE SWAMP, I must say.....even though there was no quicksand in WOMAN IN HIDING.

Courtesy of DR MBarnum I’ve just been watching LURE OF THE SWAMP. This must be very rare – it’s not listed in either of Leonard Maltin’s movie review books. Making allowing for its low budget, I enjoyed seeing it as something a bit out of the routine, even though the film doesn’t have much resemblance to the colorful poster! I always like seeing bad people come to a sticky end in quicksand. Nice melodic music score.

What's this?  A copy sent to Olde England arrives ahead of one sent to NEW England?!   :o

Ohmigod, you've both crossed over to the DARK SIDE!

I got home at 3:00. The package had not yet arrived when I left, so Office Depot is on the shit list; hopefully it arrived and was accepted by our neighbor. At 3, I had a 2-hour telephone session with our Dublin conductor, and that's my day. I'm taking a cool bath and having some dinner.

Had another lunchtime reunion get together. The problem with drinking lunchtime is that I end up catching the wrong train home! Finally made it back home after several train changes.
I hope you stopped for fortification on the way.

Oh!  Fortification!

Say you were in a play.....and you have lines to learn.....what would be most helpful......on Wednesday, July 4.....a rehearsal of the show OR a day off to work on lines?

A rehearsal of the show, but early in the day.  If you give them the day off, they won't look at their lines.

Kathy Griffin had Anderson on her show last week...or was it the week before?  Anyway, I wait to hear what she's going to say about it on her show this week.

DR Cillaliz I also really like the Summer Olympics. And I also like swimming and diving. I also tend to gravitate towards the sports where Canada can win medals.

Ice fishing?   ;)

I know...but I've never seen/heard her say anything about him being gay on the air.  Now that he's publicly acknowledged it, I just wonder if she'll talk about it.

Barely survived the first day of Dear Edwina Jr.  That's all I'll say about that.  It should get better as time goes on.

And that's all I have.

I think Ginny must have gone off and left herself signed in to HHW.

No, DR TCB, I'm still here!  I've been on the phone with Amanda, my cardiologist's nurse.  Wanted to verify that Dr. Jain had really said I could go off Plavix when I pass the 2nd anniversary of my heart attack (Aug. 3).  She confirmed that and said to take it through the 20th.  That's great news because it's one of the meds that causes me to bruise and it's the most expensive.
So glad to read this!

We have Matthew and John here this morning, but seem to be missing a Mark and a Luke.

I had to draw "Luke" in Draw Something this weekend.  That was hard!
I gave up on that game.  I couldn't draw anything.
