The 10th anniversary concert performance of Les Misérables (I have the 25th anniversary concert, but I haven't watched it yet)

Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall (a friend of mine said that the COMPLETE show was released on laserdisc...has anyone ever heard this or knows if it's true??)

Those are what I can think of right now.

I don't believe the complete show has every been released in any form which is a shame. If memory serves it was taped in its entirity.

My fridge/freezer saga drags on. The insurance company have agreed a replacement product and the suppliers will phone within 48 hours to let me know when delivery can be made.

Good morning, all! I got home last night around 7pm. and by 9 o'clock I was ready for bed. I got a lot of sleep last night, so I hope today's mixing session goes smoothly and speedily and we're finished ear;oer tpday. The difficult number is the opening of Act Three, which was recorded in segments over four days, three days last August and the choir boys in February 2012. Yesterday, we got through all of Acts One and Two, as well as everything in Act Three except for the Opening and Finale. After the Opening of Act Three, we have the Finale Ultimo and the six Appendix numbers to mix, listen to the whole thing and tweak or freeze.

About two weeks ago, I received an offer from Sears to renew the lapsed protection plan on my eight year old washing machine. The following weekend, the washer broke down.

Last night I re-watched the first fifteen minutes of the Tony Awards and spotted another funny bit I missed Sunday night. I won't spoil it for anyone--all I'll say is to pay attention during the opening BOOK OF MORMON number when James Earl Jones opens his dressing room door...

Today I get to impersonate Ginny.

One of my "goals" for 2012 is to work in the library for 6 hours. Today is my first session. I will be in the Foundation Center Library (with a trained librarian) from 11 to 1 assisting the patrons as they come in to use our resources. I don't have a clue how it will go but I'm working with a nice woman and I will let her take the lead.

Well, when I was growing up - TV specials were looked forward to with great anticipation......they always had a special BOX of information in the TV Guide giving a cast/song list. And most of them were in COLOR....especially on NBC, although CBS and ABC finally caught up.

Favorites:

Julie & Carol at Carnegie Hall

A Midsummer Night's Dream - probably on Kraft Music Hall, maybe not

Ann-Margret - I forget the exact title

A couple of Judy Garland specials....before she had her own show....and of course all of the Lucille Ball Specials!

Those that I didn't finish watching:

a couple of Frank Sinatra shows that weren't so hot....and Nancy Sinatra: Movin' On....which was not very much fun
