LOL We are not handling it well at all, especially Keith.

Thank you for your kind words.

I guess DR Ginny's  busy putting away all the contraband before Richard gets home.  ;)

And also shooing her "cardiac rehab" partner from the basement.

LOL, you two give me credit for being far more interesting than I am.  What I'm really doing is watching Boardwalk Empire and knitting.

Well, I've done nothing all day long.  I will do some work around the house tomorrow but I really enjoyed today.

Happy, Happy, Happy birthday to DH Keith!  I just wish I could give you a present of a healthy DD Sherlock.

Back from a visit to The Hollywood Show - I decided to go say hey to Cindy Williams and a few other pals.  And the interesting news is that one of the two new folks running the show is gone - done - kaput - and apparently he was the big jerk.  Ray Courts and his wife Sharon were there and told me that news (they came to show support to the now-sole owner).  So, I may, at some point, see if the new guy has a little respect for those who've been in the business for over forty years.  If so, I may do the next show.  Cindy and I had fun - as I was walking away to visit Eddie Mekka and David Lander she called me back - there was some huge Nudie fan there, so I met him.  The show was poorly "staged" again - with black curtains at the back of every celebrity's place, blocking the view of the rest of the room - it's silly because it just makes everything look closed-in and insular rather than open and spacious.  It wasn't a hugely attended thing, but most of the celebs seemed to be doing well.  Many cancellations though, including Henry Winkler - I think they only ended up with about sixty.  One of them, a man I frankly thought had passed away, was an old pal, Dave Ketchum - I did my Alice episode with him and we stayed in touch all through the 80s, but I hadn't seen him or heard anything about him in many, many years.  I'm thrilled to say he looks great and is healthy.  He must be over eighty now.

bk, I didn't know you did an episode of "Alice".   I loved that series and unless I'm wrong, the series has yet to be released on DVD

Tanya Roberts was there and I almost was going to see if she remembered me from Racquet, where I played her "agent."  She's had so much terrible facial work she barely resembles herself anymore, so in the end I didn't.  Other interesting attendees - Brett Halsey and Al Hedison (both looking great), Julie Adams (ditto), Sally Kellerman, who does not look great, Michael J. Pollard, who looks like a shriveled up, wizened old man - it was a little shocking, frankly - Keir Dullea, still handsome, Gary Lockwood, very heavy but looks good, the Sound of Music kids, including, for the first time, Charmian Carr - she still looks great.

Didn't you read my book? :)  I talk about it a fair amount, and talk about Dave Ketchum, my little date with Beth Howland, and my loathing of the director.

Debating whether or not to bake a cake - not just an ordinary cake, but a gluten free cake made with almond meal, coconut flour and agave nectar.  However, it's warm  Do I want to turn the oven on?

We just had a nice long chat with Bryan.  He is done with school. :D

He finished his last rotation which was in Internal Medicine & enjoyed it very much.  He said it was an extra hard rotation & they had him working as an intern instead of a student.

He has also received an award for the student of the year in emergency medicine, or something like that.  We have been invited to the awards ceremony which is the day before the graduation ceremony.  Bryan isn't sure if he will attend.  I'm not sure now if he will go to his graduation if we can't be there.  Even if Keith can't go I might try to.  Bryan completely understands if we need to be here with Sherlock.

It's in the 90s today.  I sat on the couch and immediately fell asleep for forty minutes.  Go know.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Boardwalk Empire, then watched the first one again with the writer's commentary.  Wish I had more, but will have to wait until they come from Netflix next week.

Whew.  Saturday is usually a work day, but yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock - I got VERY sick....feverish and clammy....lots of muscle pain.....My sister told me to go home.

And later my sister Molly called me to tell me that she would work for me today, if I wanted her to.  SO I SAID YES.

I am feeling better today - but it's still not good.  Not sure what this is....but I never want it again.  I have to lie down.
