I'm watching a strange motion picture I TIVOd.  And I just made a decision to do Nudie Musical as a stand-alone CD release when the blu-ray comes out.  We've never actually had a release that was JUST Nudie that was available commercially.  It will have the same contents as the CD that came with the DVD - i.e. the score and Grant Geissman's arrangements of same for the documentary - plus, I think I may be able to unearth a few interesting never before released tracks.

I just watched a movie starring both Keith Andes and Jeff Chandler, and am now suffering from beefcake overload.

I met my new neighbor in apt. 413 today. He was quite damp and sweaty from his jog...but seemed like a nice guy. He is from Utah and he is going to the university to get his masters, so he will be my neighbor for at least the next 2 years.

What goes on these days.  What a bunch of WUSSBURGERS we have around here.  Unbelievable.  Eight o'clock comes and everyone, no matter what coast, is asleep.  Doesn't make for much fun around these here parts.  I, on the other hand, have finished with my viewing and am here for the duration.

I'll tell you one thing about this fancy-shmancy Apple computer I have - it has something like 500 gigs of something or other - it has a ton of memory - I use about 10% of that total.  And yet if I download something it's like molasses.

Good Evening!

Well...

I headed out earlier - after packing my luggage - to get a bite to eat. I decided to go to Flex Mussels, not only because I like the food there, but also because Zac Young from "Top Chef: Desserts" was in the kitchen tonight. We've met up a few times over the past two years at various foodie events, and because he was a musical theatre guy we have a bunch of friends in common.

As it turned out, my friends, Eric and Blake, were in the area and had just finished dinner, so they joined me there for drinks while I had my dinner. And we had a great catch-up session. Well...

Zac ended up sending out some desserts for us: his Chocolate Brownie Semifreddo Sundae, and some of his signature filled Doughnuts (Salted Caramel and Fluffer-Nutter). YUM!!!!

It was a most delicious and wonderful way to finish off my day back in NYC.

That sounds more like an issue with your Internet service.  My brother has his home service "boosted"' and, boy, does that make a difference. *You may also want to check the download capacity of your cable(?) modem. They're not all "that" fast.

so foodies:  what kind of sauce goes with lobster ravioli?

You could do a cream sauce or go with my favorite, aurora, which is heavy cream stirred into a tomato sauce.

DR vixmom - Yes, a "pink cream" sauce works wonderfully with lobster ravioli.  If you want to keep it really simple, just sauté a few whole cloves of garlic in two sticks of butter, then anoint the ravioli with the garlic-infused butter. Maybe some dill or chives on top as a vegetable. ;)

Jose, why aren't you listed as part of the Creative Team?

I'm listed in the program and that's what counts. I also didn't fight(?) to be included in the program this time - at least in the bios - since I was not part of the original team in the Fall.

And the refrigerator still works.

...and you can now have cold beer and ice cold vodka again. ;)

Or Magnums!

Speaking of Magnums.... in our nutrition news letter under "food porn" I read all the reasons not to even try a caramel Magnum.  They have coconut oil, corn syrup, etc & 330 calories & 14 grams of saturated fat.

And?

Yeah, DR Jane - And?

The cherries were so good that I bought tonight I'd love to have nothing else for dinner.

The peaches at the Greenmarket this morning were, once again, incredible! It was just too bad that their perfect state of ripeness meant that they would not travel well.
