Some of my Vera friends on FB had been raving about Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs, so I picked up 4 of them at the library yesterday. Just finished a 1-mile walk in the family room, plus warm-up and cool-down. Walking in place in the family room is even more boring than walking 'round and 'round the basement!

DR Jane - When you say "cut" do you mean "trim"? Or just cut them all off?

I've never understood just exactly how cutting your bangs off works? I mean, it part of the hair framing your face, right? So, you can't really cut that all off, right? I mean, if you go shorter, won't that make them stand out a little more? Whereas if you let them grow out, then they just blend in with the rest of the hair around your face?

In Jane's case, I think that she's wondering if she should cut her long hair to make bangs. If I remember correctly, her hair is all one length...I think.

Well, bangs are a big issue in "Little Town on the Prairie," which I'm reading right now. Ma calls bangs the "lunatic fringe," but Laura likes them.

I hope no one was offended by that birthday card I posted for Bruce

I got a PM from someone who thought it was a mistake to post it. Those of you who have been around this here sight for awhile know that I have posted vintage birthday cards before...and of course you will have noticed that many vintage cards do play on stereotypes of all kinds (although I doubt that anyone holds the type of stereotype that is portrayed on this card as being even remotely true, today).

So please, nobody take offense and hopefully everyone knows I am not some sort of racist or misogynist or anything, I just love the graphics on vintage birthday cards and find them charming and funny, a well as a reflection of the times() in which they were created.

I am also not anti-politically correct. I think PC has a place in helping people be more respectful of each other, although at times (I think) some go overboard. I would personally never set out to disrespect any culture, race, or religion.

That said, BK, if you want me change the card to something else, I certainly will (or if others here find it offensive)

DR Jose some women don't have bangs. So DR Jane wants to know whether to get some (and then if she wants her hair one length it will take forever for them to grow out.

When I get a haircut i usually have my bangs cut longish, so I don't usually have any traditional bangs.
