AHEAD OF THE CURVE

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were ahead of the curve, and now it is time for you to post until the ahead of the curve cows come home - they're currently just around the riverbend.

It's a half day at the office and then a trip to Long Island for the weekend.

We will be back either Saturday or Sunday. We haven't decided yet.

I woke up at 4:30 am....and got up at 5:00 AM.  We have a winter weather advisory.  I have 2 court hearings this morning and 3 appointments this afternoon.   So, we'll have to keep an eye on the weather.  I think mom and dad may get ice today.  So if that happens, they'll probably come on Saturday or Sunday rather than tomorrow.   If they don't come, I'm tempted to keep my reservation tomorrow noon and have a Thansgiving feast. I don't see why not.

OK, time to shower and get ready for work.   I made orange rolls for breakfast.  They were very good.

It is a cold morning here.  But lovely nonetheless.  Or so I'm telling myself.

Watching "Letters to Juliet" right now. It's more charming than I thought beforehand. Though the reason I got from the library -- Vanessa Redgrave -- is the best reason to see the movie.

I agree. I really liked this movie. And thought that Vanessa Redgrave was wonderful!

Wednesday morning greetings!  I've been more or less awake since about 5:30, because Rob had to leave early to take a big final exam for his paramedic class and then drive (MY car) to Michigan for a extended Thanksgiving holiday.  While I can accept the fact that he won't always be here for holidays, having my car taken away, too, is pretty depressing.  Richard and I are trying to put a positive spin on it, saying we're experimenting on sharing a car, but I'm not happy about it.

BK, I've enjoyed the liner notes the last two days. Just curious, are these notes for the next volume of memoirs?

Good morning, all!

I've been on the phone for the past hour completing my social calendar for the week. Last night I had dinner with my friends Alan and Liliane Freeman and got back here around 11:30. I went straight to bed.

Today I have no plans but to stay here, read, visit with jo and try to get over this cold; I don't want to pass it on tomorrow to my niece Corby's children.

DR Jose, thanks for the info on Ping and iTunes.

I know there were other things I wanted to comment on from yesterday's posts but I forget! So here's my panacea:

Mom called right before I left for work to tell me that dad isn't feeling any better so they aren't coming tomorrow.   She said she didn't want me to be alone for Thanksgiving but she didn't want to drive that far and doesn't want me to go there and get whatever sickness they have.   They are supposed to get freezing rain and ice today anyway, so I assumed they may not be able to make it.   I was sad a little bit, but I'm getting over it quickly.

DR Cillaliz - sorry your plans aren't working out and that your Dad is still not feeling well.  Seems to be that kind of holiday this year...

SO, I had a greast idea.... I love left overs and the smell of Turkey roasting....so I just called the grocery store and they had a fresh turkey.  I'm going to get it cut in half and I'll freeze half and roast the other half tomorrow.  I can make stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries and all the foods I love.  It will be better than sitting alone at a table in a restaurant

LOL< I just called mom to tell her what I'm doing and she said "Hey, that's a great idea...think I'll call the store here and do that too!"  That makes me happy :D

Thanks Ginny.  I felt sad for a while, but honestly, I am looking forward to cooking, watching the parade, watching the dog show, maybe watching some movies and just hanging out with MY family....the cats.   I never really just sit around the house.  It will be good for me.  I'm going to try not to work for at least 3 days.   I really have to do some writing before Monday, but I'm hoping to wait until Sunday night to do it

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I have a cold. A head cold. Well, I believe I've been fighting a head cold the past couple of days. I'm just choosing(?) to finally acknowledge it this morning in the hopes that it will go away. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I also decided that we are going to close at noon.  The weather is supposed to get bad about that time and I'll be done with court.  I really have been up with stomach issues since 4:30 am so we decided between the weather and me not feeling up to par that we are going to reschedule a couple people this afternoon and start the holiday early.

-Even my parents thought I didn't look too well this morning. So, I guess I really am sick. :-\

*But they're currently out running errands, including buying me some cold medicine and lunch. :)
