It was really hard not to load up a plate of food while I was at my cousin's - they had all my aunt's favorites - chopped liver, herring in sour cream (both of the latter are the best you'd ever eat), coldcuts and all sorts of other goodies.  I knew I had dinner to do so I just couldn't go there.  Instead, I had three almonds and one chocolate covered raisin.

I'm glad the visit was good. How you could say no to creamed herring is beyond me.

Yum tequila, as long as it doesn't have a worm in it.  I'm not a fan of liqueurs, wicked margarita's YES

Tequila shouldn't have a worm in it. Mescal does. Different drink.

I use a lot of liqueurs in cooking. Too sweet for sipping in my book.

Only tequila bottled for sale to Americans has a worm in it.

Thank you all for your concerns about my well-being.  Last night I got the bright idea to go and turn on my electric blanket up to 5.  An hour later the power went out for good, but I was able to climb into a nice warm bed.

They just said on the news that on November 3 we had a high temperature of 74 degrees.  Today we had a high of 25.  Tonight's low temperature should be 13 degees for Tacoma; and lucky Geroge will have a low tonight of 10 degrees.

I thought it was tequila someone gave us with the worm in it.  Because of the worm I didn't look at it closely.

I'm watching "Glee" and Carol Burnett is the guest as Sue Sylvester's mother.  They're in the auditorium singing "Ohio" from Wonderful Town but you can see reflections of the camera crew in the very polished piano!

That's OK. I didn't much care for them when I first moved to Texas. The more I saw them, however, the more I began to like them. The same with a lot of other Southwestern stuff that I didn't must care for about 10 years ago.

Watching "Letters to Juliet" right now. It's more charming than I thought beforehand. Though the reason I got from the library -- Vanessa Redgrave -- is the best reason to see the movie.
