Well, you've read the notes, the notes landed like a fine Port, and now it is time for you to post until the Portland cows come home.

Good morning, all! Last night I got an email from our alto Rosalie, who is sick and isn't sure sha can make the session this morning to sing in the ladies' ensemble. I sent her a return email telling her to get better and not to worry about it; she's a wonderful lady, and I hope it's nothing serious.  After 15 minutes of wondering who could replace her, I decided to send her a note saying "come in if you can" and worry no more about it. I wasn't going to go through the madness of the day before with replacing the ailing baritone. I've still  got four excellent ladies showing up this morning, and we'll make it work even if Rosalie is still under the weather. I'm looking forward to seeing them all again and I think they and Zak will be a hoot.

We're also seeing Dillon this morning for his last solo, and then Korliss Uecker, one of my favorite opera ladies, will record a piece written for an Actors Equity benefit and three German lieder. It will be a good day.

The Oaf arrived home at 4:50 this morning, and I must commend him for his cautious treading about the apartment. He's never been this quiet before.

DR vixmom, no, alas, no one's been photographing the sessions so you will have to take my word that there were six handsome gentlemen singing like angels to backup to Rebecca yesterday afternoon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Safe Travel Vibes for BK this morning and good weekend vibes for all! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TOD:
Since I'm going to be at the Austin Comic Con for the next 3 days, I'm probably not going to have time to watch anything on the DVD player.  But, if I do, I still have episodes to see from THE MENTALIST, Season 2 and MEDIUM, Season 6.
I know that you're supposed to wear a superhero-like costume when you go to a Comic Con. So, I think I'm going to dress up today as an old semi-retired Hollywood screenwriter who lives in Austin.
Rosalie just wrote that she's still feeling poorly, so we're short a singer this morning. We'll make it work, but I think in the future I'm hiring six singers on the theory that if one drops out I've still got all vocal parts covered by at least one singer.
So, i'm off to work. Heigh-ho.
Is a cape included with that particular outfit?
Friday morning greetings!  I was the last one up this morning, which almost never happens.  Richard and Rob are about to leave to visit Rob's car in the auto hospital and try to make a decision about whether to fix it or not.  Film at 11.
It's a miracle department:  the "big" downtown Oregonian ran a nice little sidebar about Bruce in today's A&E column.  They linked to Michael's brucekimmel.com site.  ;)
BK, methinks tomorrow is a better day for bookstores.  I think we should get you settled at the hotel rather quickly and then head over to chez K.  Otherwise we're going to get caught in hellacious Friday rush hour traffic.
