Good morning, all! Last night I got an email from our alto Rosalie, who is sick and isn't sure sha can make the session this morning to sing in the ladies' ensemble. I sent her a return email telling her to get better and not to worry about it; she's a wonderful lady, and I hope it's nothing serious. After 15 minutes of wondering who could replace her, I decided to send her a note saying "come in if you can" and worry no more about it. I wasn't going to go through the madness of the day before with replacing the ailing baritone. I've still got four excellent ladies showing up this morning, and we'll make it work even if Rosalie is still under the weather. I'm looking forward to seeing them all again and I think they and Zak will be a hoot.
We're also seeing Dillon this morning for his last solo, and then Korliss Uecker, one of my favorite opera ladies, will record a piece written for an Actors Equity benefit and three German lieder. It will be a good day.
The Oaf arrived home at 4:50 this morning, and I must commend him for his cautious treading about the apartment. He's never been this quiet before.
DR vixmom, no, alas, no one's been photographing the sessions so you will have to take my word that there were six handsome gentlemen singing like angels to backup to Rebecca yesterday afternoon.
