I knew Shel Slverstein and he was a very interesting man. He had a great sense of humor, but his "Ballad of Lucy Jordan" is one of the most unsettling songs I know. It's the story of my mother and her madness.
I'm not only emotionally down but i'm feeling crappy; I can't figure out if it's allergies or I'm coning down with something and i hate that. Luckily, I have work and that keeps my mind off my troubles and my impulse from getting on the phone and raging at a friend. So, back to work.
Your Allergies remind me of a favorite James Thurber Quote
" I used to wake up at 4AM and start sneezing sometimes for five hours.I tried to find out what sort of allergy I had but finally came to the conclusion that it must be an allergy to consciousness"
Other Favorite Thurber Quatations:
"All human beings should try to learn before they die what they are running from and to,and why"
"I hate Women because they always know where things are"
"He knows all about Art,but he doesn't know what he likes"
"Well,If I called the wrong number why did you answer the phone?"
"It's better to know some of the questions than all of the answers"
"A Woman's place is in the wrong"
"He who hesitates is sometimes saved"
I Hope,Larry That I cheered you up a little
