Last night I watched 8 episodes of SEA HUNT.  In five of them  produced in 1958, the female lead character was played by Jan Harrison - even though she played a different character in each show, her hair and makeup was essentially the same.

In one episode she played the wife of a millionaire - played by a curly headed and thin youth named Larry Hagman who looked very nice with lots of curly hair and a swimsuit on the order of underwear briefs.  The three episodes produced in 1959 all featured a different lady in a different role - none of whom were an improvement on Jan Harrison.

I would recommend all Larry Hagman fans find this episode - he was even more attractive here than he was in his Tony Nelson days.

DR Ron Pulliam - And the good eatin' continues! YES!

As for your scratchy throat... Lie down on you back on the floor - or bed or couch - and carefully take a few sips of warm water. A bendy straw comes in handy for this procedure.  The liquid and gravity may help dislodge and dissolve anything remnants of the calcium tablet.

I did not get to the library; the McGlinnventory went on longer than usual and by the time the bus arrived at the corner of 23rd and 10th Avenue, I was frozen. I decided to head for home and make a day of the NYPL tomorrow.

Has anyone else seen the TCM Remembers for this year?  It's a nice one, I have seen it twice, and don't remember seeing Michael Jackson.  Maybe he is there - anyone else see it yet?

My guess, if he's missing, is that they weren't about to pay a licensing fee and they didn't have an image available.

Surprised they did not use a clip from The Wiz

The other amusing thing I awoke to was an e-mail from a chap in the UK who asked, with the usual tone, where I had gotten the right to put out The Final Option and from what was our CD mastered - with the very clear snarky inference being that we'd just done it without securing rights.  You see, this gentleman is apparently working with the composer's brother and family to issue the score on CD.  I wrote him back and enlightened him - that it, like Billion Dollar Brain, with which it's coupled, were licensed from the rights' holders, and it was mastered from tapes in their vaults, just as the earlier FSM release had been.  I then dropped a little bombshell on him - I said that if he were intending to release a CD of this score that a) he would have to get the rights from the rights' holders, just as I had, and, b) more importantly, that he could not issue such a CD for three years, per my contract.

He then suddenly got nice.  He asked me if I'd give permission so they wouldn't have to wait three years, given that our disc is sold out.  I told him it depended on when he wanted to issue it - I will not do that to collectors - we did ours more than nine months after the FSM big box set was issued, and I felt comfortable doing it because it had only been available in a huge pricey set.  I told him May or June would be the earliest I'd sign off, just as FSM had to sign off for us to do it.

He wrote back and said, "forgive my naivete, but are you saying I need your permission, FSM's permission AND the lady at the rights' holders' permission (who he named).  I said yes to me and the lady, not FSM, who already signed off.  But then I wrote him back and said, "you'll have to explain to me that if you know the lady's name and you know who the rights' holders are and that they clearly have the rights to this title, why you e-mailed me in the first place with that slightly accusatory e-mail."  I haven't had a response.  I then informed the lady of everything - she already doesn't like the guy :)  And if I don't feel like signing off, she's perfectly fine waiting the entire three years.

Yes, Jan Harrison seemed to make a living guest starring on SEA HUNT. She must have known someone. And she is quite purty!

JRand, if you are wanting more Sea Hunt episodes I have many more yet to burn onto dvd...and Jan actually is a brunette in one of them.

A multi-day frustration resolved!

The kitchen TV, M/W, T-Oven and Toaster stopped working (no power in outlets 3,4,and 5)).

Reset all the circuit breakers - no luck.

Had power in outlets 1 & 2 plus the Fridge.

Notice no power in outlet 6 - which seemed strange since a large wall unit containing the double built-in ovens was between outlet 5 and 6.

Disconnected all plug3 from outlets 3 thru 6; reset breakers, no luck!

Slept on it.

Noticed that outlets 3 thru 6 were labelled as GFI protected, but had no reset switch.

Uncovered outlet 7 - separated by the 8-burner built-in cooktop from outlet 6 (and temporarily covered over by pile of baking pans). Discovered that outlet 7 (which is never used) had a GFI reset button - reset outlet 7 - everything now works swell!

Oh the joys of homeownership!

I designed the kitchen, including outlet placement, but the contractor controlled the circuit assignments.

I guess after spending years getting into make-up to play The Phantom, Hugh must not mind the time it takes to get into his Fagin get-up at Walnut Street.
