It seems likely that La Manse is not in our future.  I'm disappointed but not distraught.

If you've ever wondered what goes on backstage right before the curtain goes up on the current revival of South Pacific, well...

5 Till Curtain

"A backstage webisode series filmed live from the dressing room of E (Eric Anderson) and Croix (Christian Delcroix) of Broadway's "South Pacific," every Wednesday through Saturday night from the '5 till curtain' call to 'places.'"

Christian Delcroix is a little cutey!

Beware, this may frighten the kiddies!

(but I secretly love it!)

I'm sorry about La Manse, JMK, but I do think the things they were asking you to do were financially dangerous.

Guess who?

I guess after spending years getting into make-up to play The Phantom, Hugh must not mind the time it takes to get into his Fagin get-up at Walnut Street.

Who is it?

Giving a second listen to the master - it sounds great - one little nitpicky thing in the first thirty seconds, otherwise this portion of it (the first half) is fine.

This has been a really tiring week. Probably why it's flying by.  I've been working through lunch and taking work home every night this week.  I'm no where near caught up and still have to get ready for Christmas and start packing the office.  Looks like the carpet won't be done until New Year's Eve day and the movers come on the 4th of January, so I'll be moving boxes all that weekend.

And a very nice kid! He was in WHERE'S CHARLEY? in 2004 at Goodspeed.

Some casting news has just been made official:

Katie Finneran, Tony Goldwyn and Brooks Ashmanskas Will Star in Promises, Promises

And...

Stanley Tucci to Direct Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Jan Maxwell and More in Lend Me a Tenor Broadway Revival

*Another "Monk" alum, Brooke Adams, will also be appearing Tenor.

I guess I am still trying to figure out what role Tony Shalhoub would play in LEND ME A TENOR.

No wonder I haven't gotten the wreath on the door yet!   I'm not really complaining.  There are alot of local lawyers without much work to do....so bring it on....but I'm still tired.

Immigration and criminal, DR Laura.  Lots of immigration consults lately..comprehensive immgration reform was proposed in the House on Tuesday.  Of course it hasn't been covered on English language television, but it's all over the Spanish language media and we've sent info out to our new mailing list. People have lots of questions, but many are waiting to see what if anything passes.

I've gotten a number of criminal cases lately.  The gang thing I was reading last night, a post conviction on a rape case and a brand new sexual abuse case that may go to trial.

It seems to go in waves.  I'll get a lot of criminal and just a few new immigration then a lot of immigration and not much criminal.  So far it's a pretty good balance.

Well, I had another super-long day chatting up customers.  I sometimes am finding it hard to disengage once engaged in conversation.  BUT, I heard from the cashiers' end of things that I managed to sell THREE copies of one of our 'make' items:  THE PIANO TEACHER.

bk - Glad to hear that you were able to get your car battery jumped.  Thankfully, you didn't have to deal with a dead battery and near freezing temps.  -Never a good combination when dealing with a car battery.

LOL, actually it's the ugly cases that are the most interesting and most challenging.  The worst of the three cases is the one where the client has already been convicted. He's alleging his lawyer was ineffective.  It involves a lot of reviewing transcripts research and writing.  His codefendant won his challenge so it may happen here too. If we win he gets a new trial

Tony Shalhoub will be playing Sanders; Anthony LaPaglia will be playing Tito Merelli, and Mrs. Tony Shalhoub - the real Mrs. Tony Shalhoub - has been cast as Julia.  *I'm really looking forward to Jan Maxwell as Maria!

And speaking of Stanley Tucci..

I thought I had noticed something during Stanley Tucci's segment on "The View" today, and, well, I guess I did:

No, we're the accepted offer.  It has to do with the bank not responding to our "as is" offer in a timely fashion.  It may still work out, but chances are very slim.
