I'm going to head into midtown now. I've finished the second scene of Act Three and tomorrow I'll do the Appendix numbers and type up the notes.

Iwas overcast most of the day today, but the sun has been shining for the last hour-- quite nice.  However, I am really hoping that we get some more rain tonight and tomorrow.

I'm listening to the new two CD set of The Fugitive soundtrack - the Harrison Ford movie.  It's one everyone raves about, but I suspect it's just another case where people saw this at a very young age and love everything about it.  The music by James Newton Howard is okay, but nothing spectacular, at least to my ears.

Not that that many people ordered it here, which was a little shocking in itself, but I'm a bit surprised no one who DID order it has gotten their Elmer Bernstein CD.

Here's some commencement PR from UC that includes a lot about Faith Prince's speech:

Mary Linda and I especially liked her advice:  "When in doubt, bake!"

The UC Bearcat mascot "high-fived" every graduate as he/she started across the stage.  He's one of the 2 finalists for

Capital One National Mascot of the Year

Your votes would be appreciated!

I literally left town the night I knew I had completed my last college course.  I was only 19, and just wanted to get the hell out of SLC.  So I left for Portland that night with my then-girlfriend.  I think my parents were a little upset that I didn't come back for graduation day--but because I had tested out of so much and basically went straight through for a year and half, I graduated in March and didn't feel like coming back for the big do in June.  That said a couple of months later, my brother in law showed up on our door and said my Mom had called in an absolute dither because I had made Phi Beta Kappa and there was going to be a special ceremony at the state capitol for inductees.  My parents paid for me to come back for that, and that was sort of my "graduation" ceremony.

This afternoon Sandra and I saw "Little House on the Prairie, the Musical" on the Broadway Across America Tour.

Did this ever or will it ever play on Broadway?

This is not a whine, just a small, small sigh...i wonder when i shall be able to bake again.

it warmed up some today so i walked to the mailbox with keith and sherlock, it felt soooo good.  i fear i'm rapidly getting out of shape, i really had to work on the uphill walk back.

Mine arrived in today's mail.

It's on a vast pile of CDs...all of which need my attention but which must wait as I continue to do the things I must do in preparation for my trek eastward Monday evening.

There is phenomenal tiredness in our house tonight.  Richard and I have to drive to Lima and back tomorrow and Mary Linda has to drive home to Michigan.  Something tells me no one is staying up late!

DR LAURA, I think Little House on the Prairie is on a long long long pre-Broadway tour - which may or may not end up in NYC.
