Well, then I guess it's a bigger shame that I know their real names... And at one point knew where Rex Chandler lived. -He lived next door to a friend of mine for a while.

I am back home from a most interesting weekend at the lake.  Of course the weather today is beautiful there and they will have th fireworks show that was cancelled Friday night, but I wanted to get home and have some down time with the girls before going back to work on Tuesday,.

I had a great time with my parents.  Last night mom and I went out on the dock to see if we could see the fireworks on the other lake.   It had been very quiet around their house and I think both Mom and Dad must have commented 10 times (they often don't remember what they said) that they hadn't heard any firecrackers.   Well all that changed, lol. 

As mom and I stood out on the dock, both neighbors to the north started shooting off firecrackers, bottle rockets, roman candles and various other fireworks.  People all around the lake were shooting off fireworks and the neighbors to the south started shooting them off too.   We were both on the dock turning one way then the other making sure we weren't in the line of fire.  It was really comical and we laughed and laughed

I'm the most caught up at the office that I've been since I opened my office, so I decided to extend the weekend while things are calm.  I went to the lake last Thursday, came home today and will go back to work on Tuesday.  It was a nice break, 3 days with mom and dad and 2 days to work on the house

Now I'm going to go to home depot.  My home away from home these days, lol. 

I'm going to do my best to finish painting the rooms in the house I haven't painted yet before the summer is over. Then it will be time for a huge garage sale.  After that...it will be time to be settled and to start entertaining my friends.

I pulled out Season 3 of NCIS and watched the episode where Abby has a stalker. This is what I watched while I ate lunch. Entertaining episode and a big surprise at the end.

Next, I watched my work disc for the day, Roman Polanski's masterpiece REPULSION. I guess I had seen the whole thing. Since it was done in 1965 in England, it couldn't be overly graphic, but therein lies part of its genius since it's SO much more effective if we don't see every slash, every bash in extreme close-up as it's done nowadays.

And Catherine Deneuve so young and drop dead gorgeous in this (and so psychotic)! She said in the commentary this was her third film, (or was it she had made three films prior to this). Anyway, this must have established an international reputation for her. She should have won all sorts of awards for it.
