No one asked anything.

She wanted so badly to have a butterfly land on her. Then three did, one after another.

Has she been reading "The Secret"?

DR Jane - Thanks again for the continued DR Danise updates.  It's good to know that some of the stress in her life has been, well, de-stressed.

Survived taking my mom on several errands and my aunt to the eye doctor.  I am exhausted.

You did your good deed for the day.  Now, have some chocolate!

Well, I guess if things "change" in California, DR DAW and his ever-lovin' Jayson could move to Vermont:

Heard back from Mr. Sondheim and none of his lyrics remain in Illya Darling - now he's deciding whether I can use an anecdote he told me - I'm waiting for him to say yay or nay.

Oh Shucks! I thought we might have had a real possibility there.
If Mr. Sondheim doesn't okay it are you still able to share what it was?

OK... Now I'm really getting spoiled.  The apartment complex I'm staying in just started nightly (Sunday-Thursday) "Doorstep Trash Collection".  I just place my bagged trash in the container which they provide, place the container outside my door, and they do the rest.  :)

Listening to a marvelous Brazilian singer - a new CD from an older LP with music by Jobim - gorgeous - he conducts and orchestrates, too.  The CD is obviously mastered from an LP and they have rather shamefully not done anything to disguise that fact.

Elizete?

That's the one.

For any DR watching CBS tonight...

-Did you see Patti LuPone in the commercial for CBS Cares Colonoscopy Sweepstakes?  ::)

Is that the one where she says, "WHAT do YOU think is in YOUR colon?!?!"

And if you'd like to enter the Sweepstakes - the prize is a trip to New York for a colonoscopy! And a three-night stay at the Loews Regency.  Hmm...

I would guess DR CILLA LIZ's thunderstorms are headed my way tomorrow.

Basic Blu-Ray.  I am nothing if not basic.

DRJOSE - the winner was most satisfying....and the reunion show is a Rebecca Beat Down.

Had an interesting evening filled with enjoyable viewing.

I began with the Blu-ray of MICHAEL CLAYTON. I first saw the film on HBO a few months ago. It was in HD, but HBO had reformatted the 2.35:1 to 1.78:1. I enjoyed the movie so much that I found a really cheap Blu-ray copy on Ebay for about $8 shipped. So I snapped it up.

Really enjoyed seeing it in its original screen format and in HD. The sound was a high bitrate Dolby Digital which was OK, but I would rather it had been Dolby TrueHD.

Next I watched last Thursday's THE OFFICE. Filled with laughs from beginning to end. This was the best the show has been in weeks.

Next, I watched CHUCK. Good show this week. Some fun adventures, and  although I usually don't like the Buy More employees' stories, the rivalry with the Beverly Hills store did make me laugh this week (also, some of those guys were CUTE).

The SD versions of THE WIZARD OF OZ and GONE WITH THE WIND looked very good with satisfying color. The Blu-ray versions will be taken from the high def masters used for those transfers, so they should look just as good with, of course, much higher resolution and lossless soundtracks.

I wish Warners would offer (like Disney does with some of their catalog titles) a $10 rebate to "trade up" to the Blu-ray versions of films we've already bought. Those two sets are very expensive without some kind of rebate.
