DR JRand - I hope you don't have an "Oh Well" type of day at work today.

*And it's nice to know that you'll be getting your iMac back from the technician too. ;)

I hope Jose has a lovely day and enjoys the lovely weather. (Somehow I get the feeling Jose usually has a nice day. Hope that's true.)

It does look like it drizzled at some point during the night.

Good morning!  A rather rainy day in the Pacific Northwet.  It may clear up this afternoon.

Last night, I was remembering how wonderful Saturday evenings used to be for watching movies on television.  At 9:00 p.m. there was SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES on NBC, where I saw a lot of memorable films.  Then after the half hour break for local news, there was always two or three movies on at 11:30, and sometimes another at 1:00.

When I was a teenager I used to drive my mother crazy staying up to watch all those glorious films.  Even though I managed to get the volume of the movie down low enough that my mom couldn't hear it in her bedroom; suddenly we would switch to a commercial for Ralph Williams' used cars that would be so loud it would rattle the windows.

Kevin Spirtas is appearing tonight in our Cabaret Series at The Polo Club in Boca Raton. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing him since I was somewhat instrumental in getting him here. I'm sure he will be excellent.

Maybe a new song could be gotten out of "Never Watch a Movie While You're Sunburned."  It scans well-- kind of like "Never Hit your Grandma With a Shovel (It Makes A Bad impression on Her Mind)."  :D

Good morning. I'm really glad I spent time outside yesterday, today as predicted, is cloudy, gray and I expect it will rain soon.  It's still in the 50s though so it will be rain. That is a good thing.  We were under a fire warning yesterday, so the rain is a good thing, as long as we don't get too much

Has anyone heard of Earth Hour?   I guess everyone is supposed to turn out their lights on March 28 from 8 to 9 pm. Hadn't heard of that before.

Tomorrow there are predictions of severe thunderstorms. Hope we don't get that, but I'm glad I'll be home with the girls if it's going to get bad.

Yes...I'm watching the Weather Channel..how did you guess?

Just saw someone with an umbrella up.  Guess the long jog will have to wait - I can see blue sky trying to peep through.

good morning everyone.

I'm off to the the 2nd Annual L.A. Heritage Day, at Heritage Square Museum (never been there before). There should  be 75 or more vendors that are involved with LA and it's history.  (and saving anything that has not be demolished by developer's corporate greed).

BK's event yesterday

"An afternoon with David Lee"   Mr. David Lee was so right in his comment that everything in this country is being run by MBA's that know nothing of the field they are employed in.  He was referring to the arts, but tearing down LA's history is another example of the same thing.

See you later.

just opened the door to look outside, it's windy and cold and wet, but I will get in the car and go, too fidgety to sit inside all day.

HOME THEATER FORUM

I know some members here are members there. Matt Hough reviews for them. I see that they are having a online chat with Warner Bros Home Video.

I was wondering if anyone will being do the chat and if they are can they bring up BK's observation that their technicolor release are brown and see what they say.

Thanks

Anyone can join Home Theater Forum.  If this is an issue you'd like to bring up,  I suggest you simply join the forum and then log on for the chat.  Simple as that.

Mind you, the questions will be screened by the owner of HTF.

I wonder if our DR DAW had difficulty removing any "crud essence" from his car after the last storm.

If there is another storm soon, he may find there will be "re-crud essence"!
