Boxers are better than briefs, DR DANISE.

DR CILLA LIZ - maybe you should audition for one of them home makeover shows.....it might be fun.

I've considered "rate my space" and maybe I'll get the free makeover!!

He does have a pink collar on--way to tight for my liking.  I couldn't even put a finger between his neck and it but it was full of sand-spurs.   I wonder if someone dropped him off.  No tags at all.  Not fixed either.

Did you loosen his collar?  Does he look like he's had food lately?

They're running all around the backyard even though it's dark.  Not fighting, just playing.  But then Sheena seems to get along very well with the boxers at the dog park.  In fact, when I thought about getting another dog, I considered getting a boxer.

As you say, this might be fate.

Not to worry I did that and gave him food and water.  He really needed a drink.  He almost drank the whole bowl.  He and Sheena are to busy playing for him to eat but he looks like he could use a good meal or two.  He is very skinny.  I can see all of his ribs.

DR JRand, I'm not going to do it with the rooms I'm working on now.  The bathroom just needs a little drywall repair and the other room just needs a little trim and finish work once the carpet is put in.

Wife Sandy and I will be traveling back to Austin on Tuesday to check on the progress of the new house and to meet with various vendors.  We'll be there for a week.

On Saturday (10), I'll be doing a signing at Borders.

That makes it a business trip.

 :)

Why don't you do a business trip to Seattle?

My 50-year Garfield High School reunion is going to be in Seattle this coming summer.

Depending on how settled we are in Austin by that point and what else I have going, maybe I will.

You should go!!!!

Well, I put one of Bear's old leather collars on him and took him out side.  There's a dog house in the pen that he can sleep in for tonight.  I don't want to go to bed with a strange dog in the house.  I set a bowl of water and food inside the pen as well.  He should be ok for tonight.

We'll see if I get someone knocking on my door tomorrow to claim him.  If not, I will take him to the vet on Monday night to see if he has a chip.  I'll run an ad on Craigs List about him and if no one claims him by the end of next week, I'll take him and have him fixed.

Just when I had made my mind up to having one dog.....

Oh and if someone does show up, I'm going to let them keep the collar.  No dog should have something that tight around their neck and with sand spurs to boot.

DR Danise, sometimes you don't choose them, they choose you.  That's how I got Boo!  She had a collar at the time too.

I was thinking that someone might actually get their Twisted Nerve today, but I guess because I got them to the post office around four-thirty it probably didn't really go anywhere till this morning.

DR Danise there are places to look for lost dog adds.  I have also heard that the scanners at the market can read these chips ;)

I hope it all works out for the best.  I think it is great Sheena gets along so well with Boxers.  I'm not sure the majority of them like Bernese Mountain Dogs, not with our experience.

Hah!  I am awaiting my copy of the AUNTIE MAME/ROME ADVENTURE score.

Is this on a CD?  I adore Bronislau Kaper's score to "Auntie Mame."  I don't remember much about the score to "Rome Adventure"--- oh wait, did that have "Al Di La" in it?  It had one those "Al Di La" type songs in it that were so popular in.

Call me "Mr. Cellophane":

I posted to Haines His Way / Daily Discussions / Re: SOLID  on: December 10, 2008, 02:05:10 PM

I know there are some fans of the film "Auntie Mame" on this forum, and I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that a wonderful thing has happened:  Bronislau Kaper's sparkling score is now available on CD from the Film Score Monthly label.

Previously available only on LP, in either mono or stereo, the score has long been out of print and highly collectible, especially in Stereo.  FSM got access to the Warner Brothers recording master and has produced the best sound ever for the glorious score.

An added bonus, for me anyway, is that "Auntie Mame" is paired with Max Steiner's gorgeous score for "Rome Adventure."
