Good morning!

We are finally seeing the sun after quite a few days of overcast. Going to be a bit warmer today, too, into the 70s, but that's OK since I'll be spending a great deal of time indoors this weekend.

For some reason, I couldn't sleep, so I got up, got the (*&^#*&% kitchen floor mopped, and then settled in with the first episode in the CSI box set (see Friday Media Check). This was the episode that tied up the midnapping of Sara from the end of the previous season, and the show, while harrowing, had very little to do with forensics and more to a simple manhunt in the desert with the team trying to find their injured CSI.

I'm up, I'm up.  It took me quite a long time to fall asleep last night, despite the Ny-Quil.  I am, of course, very groggy this morning and I'm praying my voice can hold on through all this rawness so I can moderate well tomorrow.

As for the Friday Media Check...

CD Player - I'm still working my way through the DG sets of Emil Gilels playing Beethoven, Mozart and some other composers.

TV-wise - It's been a DVR existence this week. There really seems to be just too much good television programming on right now.  My roommate, Jim, who is the true "TV addict" in the apartment, is going crazy trying to juggle the DVR programming, his "live" viewing and his work and gym schedule!  Thankfully(?), if I find myself missing an epsiode, well, then I miss it.  -And since I don't like watching TV shows on the small screen, a.k.a. my computer, well...

bk - Just remember that clearing your throat can actually "raw" out your throat even more. Better to take a swig of warm water, or just take a good swallow (of air).  Steam also helps, so an extra minute or two in the shower would do some good too.

Well, if I knew the last post was my 14000, I would have made it more memorable: correcting grammar, spelling or punctuation of well meaning posters, picking on Laura or Jane,  or haranguing at bk...

What will I watch this weekend?

No idea.

I'm going back to Texas next week for a few days, so the weekend will probably we mostly devoted to getting ready for that trip.

I did get that new Abbott and Costello box set (28 movies) that's coming out later this month, so I might watch IT AIN'T HAY, which is the only A&C Universal movie not previously released onto DVD.
