He rented a small plane at the airport and flew. I won't go up in small planes, so I began walking. After he landed he picked me up nine miles from the airport.

Simple.

Kerry understood.

Thanks for the clarification.

Not knowing that your husband flies, or what your motivation was for walking, I was simply curious.

Hmm... I think someone needs another four-day weekend and a decongestant.

I have some writing to do, and then I'll head back down to continue with the further adventures of Lil' George Bush and his cronies.

...And I guess it's times like these where I'm sort of glad I never got into playing the stock market...

My friend, Andy, just called me.  He was hoping to come up to NYC for a long weekend in November, however, after checking his portfolio and retirement account(s) this afternoon, he's thinking staying at home is probably a "better" option.  He's "lost" close to $10,000 over the past three days.  :-\

*And, yes, he knows that things will - well, should - "correct" themselves over the next couple of months, but he - like many other investors - had never seen such a drastic drop in such a short amount of time.

Well, I'm going to take advantage of this beautiful late Fall day, and go out for a walk.  I think some fresh NYC air is just what I need to get the rest of the crud out of my sinuses.  ;)

In a few weeks, unless the site falls back, we'll be good to go.

If you go into your profile under "Look and Layout Preferences," you can set it to show your local time.

It all makes sense now. I thought maybe you'd nagged him so much in the car that he drove you to the airport and dropped you off and you had to walk home. Speculations are endless.

You'd be surprised how often DRLaura's Dear husband throws her out of the car.

Tonight I made a baked potato and decided to put just a little cheese and bacon bits on it.  As I shook the bottle of bacon bits, I realized it was really the bottle of capers!   I tried it anyway and it was good!

Yom Kippur is over, and I got my first tax return of the post-holiday evening done in the last hour.

Back from the two-hour work session.  Somehow I misunderstood the time - I could have sworn it was one to three, but it turns out it was two to four.

The work session went well.  I had them start at the top of the show, and do all the songs and patter, start to finish, without stopping.  Of course, we stopped a couple of times, but I saw that the flow of the show works just fine.  I then went back to the start and began giving pointers on performance, intention, mood - and I fixed a few things in the arrangements, really tiny stuff, and then I set the underscoring for the patter.  Then I went to the mail place, Gelson's, and am now finally home, deciding on what to watch this evening.

I'm making some chicken stroganoff without the rice or noodles.  Just chicken and the sauce - it's quite tasty and actually diet-friendly, since this is my meal o' the day.

My throat still feels weird, but not as weird as yesterday.  I got some Ricola drops and those really help.
