I normally do not gamble; I have nothing against it, but if i put money in a machine, i'd at least like to get stamps or a Diet-Coke. On ships or once in Las Vegas, i have won about $70.00 but only invested about 50 cents. Once with the lottery, i won about $120.00.

That's just not my thing. The money's nice, but I'd rather play poker or gin just for the fun of it.

That's about right. The cell phone service isn't as bad as yours. I can get text messages inside & I can hear the phone ring, just can't answer it.

We are very grateful for our satellite as there is no cable here. The first few years living here we had to get letters from the local tv stations for permission to receive programming from out of the area. It was a real hassle. We fiddled with special antenna's in the attic & nothing worked well.

I do this all the time when I have three shows I want to see all airing at the same time (e.g. GREY'S ANATOMY, SUPERNATURAL, THE OFFICE all on Thursday at 9.)

No Offense, and like you I was just mentioning another option that might come in handy in the future. Since only one show recorded, best to have it be your first choice.

What a day of reader emails. First several from noted film preservationist Robert Harris and now a slew (slough?) from David Lebrun, the guy who did that fabulous Maya doc I mentioned a few days ago. They like me, they really like me.
