I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but TNT's 'The Closer' is No. 1 on cable TV July 21-27

Ginny, I forgot to ask earlier, which publication came in with an acknowledgement to me? Was it one of the research publications? I can't remember working on anything for them recently but they are very good about thanking me for the work I do for them.

Here at work, they're going to upgrade every computer to Microsoft Vista within the next few months.  We're still on Windows 2000 (and I am at home, also).  Evidently, the computer people have been happy with what Vista can do and won't go to XP at all.  Earlier today, Gwen (the computer services supervisor) came over to our department and wanted to know if anyone would like to be a tester (and she was looking at me when she said it ;)).  I said, "Sure, I'll be a guinea pig."

So, some time within the next week or so (or even as early as tomorrow!), I will have a new tester computer with Vista installed.  They'll keep my original computer unchanged until they/I/we decide that everything's okay, then they'll upgrade what I have now and take back the test computer.  I might need to upgrade my home computer if I really like Vista.

Have (m)any PC users switched to Vista?  Still on XP?  Still on Windows 2000 or even 98??

And on that note (E-flat), I'm off.

Until later!

Hi all. No time to catch up on posts, I've got to work on my closing argument.

So, the evidence is done, jury instructions have been read (it took 2 1/4 hours to read due to the number of theories and lesser included offenses).  Tomorrow at 9:00 AM we do closing arguments.  After the news and weather, I'll work on it in earnest.  It's all in my head, but I need to organize it, figure out what exhibits I'm going to use and make some visual aids.

Thank you so much for all the pics, DR Elmore, but I loved the OZ photos. SO very interesting. Amazing these terrific shots are still around more than a century later.

I'm using Vista now, DR George. It was not a particularly smooth transition, and I still feel XP was more flexible to my needs, but I adjusted more or less to Vista now.

Thanks!  I haven't seen the whole KTIV report, my cable and internet are out, I'm on dial up and man is it slow! Their summary at 10:00 PM was wrong, but that's ok, it's only the jurors that matter..

Better go..much to do...

I watched the film version of GODSPELL tonight. Lovely to relive those songs every few years. I think the Sony DVD was taken from a videotape master because it certainly isn't very sharp, and the colors are kind of subdued though as I vaguely recall, the film never looked great.

At least it's an anamorphic transfer, so that did help the situation somewhat.

Then I went back to THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH and finished it. Just love the movie, always have, and enjoy seeing it once or twice a year.

While I was waiting for PROJECT RUNWAY to finish recording (so I could watch it and skip the commercials), I watched a couple of RICK & STEVE episodes from the DVD. Silly, naughty fun.

PROJECT RUNWAY

I do not like Stella. She acts so helpless and needy, and if the judges don't dock her for always going for the same basic look, then they're being very unfair. I find her stuff dull.

I was afraid we were going to lose our third gay designer in a row, but thankfully, Keith was spared. The two women who were left both had ho-hum outfits, but I might have gone with the woman who stayed "in" as the one to go home. The other outfit was matronly but had some style. I hated that right angle ruffle on the black dress, and even after Tim warned her it wasn't good!

To the best of my memory, I don't think I've ever heard even the greatest SESQUIPEDALIAN use the word antidisestablishmentarianism in a sentence, other than referring to the word itself.

Since I was of the Anglican persuasion and inclined to hyperpolysyllabicsesquipidalianism, I  often used antidisestablishmentarianism is a sentence.

Are we supposed to believe that Woody lets you take the grandkids to McDonald's?

With much grumbling, I assure you.

DR Elmore3003, those photos from BABES IN TOYLAND and OZ are fantastic!

But of course now it makes me want to know the bio on each actor and actress and what ever became of them.

"And, what did you do when he said that?" asked Pricilla Forsyth, prosecutor.

Glad to see you play both sides ;D

It's a shame the producers couldn't have afforded a color production.

I'm done with my viewing for the evening.  I had my Subway Club about two-thirty, and then during the movie I ate half an apple and a peach - quite good.

Well...  It seems that some customers of American Airlines had their own travel woes to deal with at JFK today...

Baggage System Malfunction Delays Scores Of Flights From JFK

*I just saw the pictures on the news... All that luggage!!!!

All I can say is that I'm really glad my luggage made it to the baggage claim when I did! :)

Oh, the restaurant we ate at in the San Francisco airport was called Buena Vista.  I had forgotten the name earlier.

I have a job interview with Yahoo tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. so that would be nice if it worked out.  We'll see!
