I should get din-din tablewards.

Angel hair pasta nests, with steamed shrimp, heirloom tomatoes (yellow, orange, and green), some red bell pepper, lots of basil, and dressed with balsamic and extra virgin olive oil.

Hopefully, it will all be quite yummilicious.

It's certainly going to be quite colorful.

Just spent a long time on the telephonic device with two authors who've had a show "invited" to NYMF - totally last minute, just like us last year.  They're based here, have never actually had a production of their show, so they're really nervous about saying yes and having to move this quickly.  I gave them the yays and the nays, so that they'd have no surprises along the way.  We'll be speaking again after their decision has been made.

BK - Do they have that $5,000 deposit requirement again this year?  The one which only applied to the invited shows?

And on that note...E-natural...I'm going home.

Have a good rest of the evening, all.

Back from my first foray out of the house since my surgery.  Had to learn how to go down steps (bad foot first) to get to the car and how to go up steps (good foot first) to get into my friend's house for book group.  It was nice to see my friends and talk about Dawn Powell' s My Home is Far Away.

Usually by this point i'm annoyed that some of my favorites are in the bottom 3. But i have to say that in tonight's bottom 3 there is not a single person who i like. There are some couples i like (katee and joshua...). And some couples where i like one person and not the other (like will for instance, like him don't like his partner). But i really could not have cared less who went home tonight.

This afternoon I rested up for tonight's outing by watching Episodes 3, 4, and 5 of HBO's John Adams.  Hope the 3rd disc comes soon!

Is anybody here planning on watching the Daytime Emmys tomorrow?

I am. And think it will be better than usual. They are doing the Golden Globes table style seating.

And i think Sherri Shephard (sp?) and Cameron Matheson will be fun hosts.

I've had a full but busy evening of viewing.

I began by finishing the Martin Sheen guest star episode of THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO. Pretty predictable ending.

Yes, I plan to watch the Daytime Emmys. Or, I may record them and skim through them. The two hour show would take about 40 minutes.

I watched two more STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO episodes. In the first, priests are being murdered by a very disturbed young man played by Peter Strauss. This also had folks like Marshall Thompson as guest stars.

In the next episode, Leslie Nielsen plays a cop dying of a terminal illness who wants to exact revenge on a mob boss (played by Ray Danton) who always gets away with his crimes. Intriguing episode, the best of the four I've watched.

I'll be starting on disc two tomorrow. There are only 11 episodes in this set, so it's going to be one of the easier ones to finish.

I watched the remaining two MURDER SHE WROTE episodes on disc 1 in that set. One I had never seen before, the one with Mort Metzger's ex-con brother returning to Cabot Cove to make amends to his older brother. Good mystery with Pat Hingle as the principal guest star.

The other one (which I did remember clearly) had Jessica Walter as a Kitty Kelley-like biographer trying to write a dishy book on ailing former screen star Barbara Bain. Her husband played by Bradford Dillman was blamed for the murder of the writer.

I ended my evening with an excellent episode of FEAR ITSELF with Colin Ferguson and Clifton Collins Jr. giving superb performances as very different men who switch bodies while both are in critical condition in a hospital.

This has a great twist ending.

You must have watched tonight's MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST. I recorded it and will watch tomorrow, probably while I eat lunch instead of watching MURDER SHE WROTE.

I spent a lovely evening out visiting with a friend from high school -- the only person I've known longer than my DH. He and his family have been missionaries in the middle east for the last ten or so years. It was good to see him again.
