On tv for me tonight:

HELL'S KITCHEN

The premiere of CANADIAN IDOL

Last night i watched a very sad/touching yet funny romantic comedy, NO RESERVATIONS with Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Good morning!

Another cool-enough morning to have the house opened up, but I have the real feeling today will be the last of these. Everyone I know has already turned on the A/C. I'm the lone holdout.

I thought THE GUNFIGHTER was something special from the very first time I saw it. Sad and haunting. I love that film.

This afternoon I'll be watching MANDINGO. It's over two hours long, so I don't know if I'll have time to squeeze in THE MOLE along with it this afternoon.

I also still have IN PLAIN SIGHT on the DVR, but several folks whose opinions I trust watched it already and weren't impressed. It doesn't appear to be another "sleeper smash" like BURN NOTICE.

Nothing on TV for me tonight. The NCIS rerun is from last season which I have on DVD and have watched two or three times already, so I won't be tuning in for that.

TCM is running BROKEN BLOSSOMS tonight which I've only seen once a long time ago, so I may set the DVR to get it.

Once I finish MANDINGO, I'll be returning to the second disc in the HAWAII FIVE-O set. Those two late arriving discs from Legend (farmed out to them by Paramount) put me off my viewing schedule a bit. By now I should be getting to the halfway point on HAWAII FIVE-O.

A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down...

The medicine go down

Oh, medicine go down.

Yes, a spoonful of sugar

Can make the medicine go down...

In the most delightful way.

I think watching episodes of HAWAII FIVE-O and MANDINGO would be a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon.

I'm up, I'm up.  I awoke to no Internet service.  After exhausting all possible fixes, I suddenly realized I probably was delinquent on a bill - I've gotten into the habit of paying by phone (I don't really know why) and I just forgot.  So, I called, paid, and here I be.  I hate my occasional senility and should probably go back to writing checks.

I believe we need some more recipes!  It's such a shame that Jane is on her extended break.

Catching up from yesterday #1

I am so proud of myself I made it through season 4 of lost not seeing one episode or reading one spoiler. I now cannot wait for the DVD/Blu Ray to come out later this year. For me that is the only way to watch them.

Congratulations!  We certainly attempted to make things easier for you.  Far be it from any of us to deprive anyone of being one whole year behind in anything until he/she is ready to catch up!

All my recipes at home.  Alas, I am not.

Later, though, I have a killer chocolate pie recipe I want to share!

The other day, Zach was pulling a bit as we stepped out of the house.  I lost my balance and my forearm scraped quite a distance along the top of the very rusty wrought iron railing lining the steps.  I got some nasty looking gashes and scrapes.  But they are now starting to heal up.  And I think I disinfected it well enough, so that's good.
