The dial up modem for the laptop works. I'm using the laptop again but this time it's connected to the phone line. Glomming on to various networks doesn't really work well since the signals are so weak but this works fine so I'm happy.

And on that note I will leave you since I have other work to do on the laptop.

Bye.

Electricians and Handy Man are working away.  So far they haven't had to turn off the rest of the electricity, so that's good.

Marlana Filannino was here learning music from the musical I'm mentoring and also from Nudie Musical.  At the end of the session she handed me some sheet music to a song she'd done at her AMDA showcase, which she's using for an audition this evening - she asked if I could play through it for her.  I looked at the music and it was MY arrangement and put-together of With You/Gifts of Love from my Stephen Schwartz album.  No credit to me, Mr. Schwartz or the orchestrator was anywhere to be found.  She was quite surprised to hear it was mine.  I found out where she got it, and while I don't mind people using my arrangements, I do like to be asked - so, I'll make sure this person knows that.

DR George! I just got home and found something in the mail from you. Thank you so much!

We're going to a party to celebrate the passing of a bill which will offer filmmakers incentives to shoot in GA. We shall mingle with the hoi polloi.

DR Elmore, how did Miami University end up in Ohio?

On behalf of Elmo, I offer this Wikipedia explanation of where the name came from, etc.  FWIW, Miami University in Oxford, OH, was established 115 years before the University of Miami in Miami, FL.

Good grief!  I can't believe it.  $301.50 for a possible chance to see Harry Potter's winkie.  Incredible!

Dungeness crab can be yummy.  So can Dwayne Johnson, sometimes, with the right lighting and costuming.

Oh.  It was the combination that didn't work.  Now I get it.  Nevermind.

If we are going to mix Dwayne with food, at least let it be lobster!

Catching up very slowly but surely.

To George and TCB and others who sent vibes, here's the news on the health situation for our leading man's father:  Brian's  father was released from the hospital and thankfully even was able to come to two of the performances, as well as the closing day party, although he clearly had to take it easy.

How wonderful.  Great news.

The storms have passed

And a good thing, too.  Zach was positively beside himself with stress and worry over the thunder.

I'm having an early lunch with best friend John today, so I guess I'd better finish up here quickly so I can be downstairs waiting when his car pulls in the driveway.

I went back to bed around seven-fifteen, had an interesting thought about a Nudie change, and fell asleep for two hours, so at least I got a little more sleep.  I'm going to contemplate this change now, which requires working at the piano.

If it is a Nudie change, I would think that it would require the organ.

And I know that he has been Errant & Truant for far too long, but I just heard from DR Jason, and even though he didn't ask for them, I'm sure some of those patented HHW Vibes would be appreciated: He and his roommate just discovered bed bugs in their apartment last night.  :-\

Oh no.
