Memorial Day greetings!  We've had a morning shower, which was predicted, and now the sun is coming out.  Good news for people hosting outdoor gatherings, including our niece Jen and her husband Scott.

And the word of the day is: GARBOIL!

Could DR SWW still parboil, amidst a garboil?

Does a kerfuffle trump a garboil?

Whew!   As DRJOSE might say.  We have a newly painted house - all four sides.  We have repaired and reconditioned the enclosed back porch.  We have changed out ALL of the landscaping.  Cut down two trees.

We are done with the FRONT of the house....new mailbox and new posts on the front porch and new porch light....all dead and dying greenery dug up and gone.  New plants growing and thriving.

Just a bit to be done in the back yard, although everything is started.

Whew!

If I play the ace of garboil, you can bet my partner will put the seven of kerfuffle down on top of it.  :P

Chris Connelly and Gary Lockwood would be two good friends to have.  I remember Gary first from THE LIEUTENANT, a tv series, and as Cliff Macy in WILD COUNTRY, an Elvis movie, and of course 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.

Chris was Norman Harrington in PEYTON PLACE on tv....and he was great!  I even had his LP "The Boy From Peyton Place"....I am sure it is still around here.  He was a pretty good singer, and I think he played guitar, too.  :D

Chris also played the Ryan O'Neal part in the short-lived TV series version of Paper Moon opposite - Miss Jodie Foster as Addie.

And I was shocked to hear he had passed away....he seemed to be always so young....I always watched for his name in the credits in the TV GUIDE and tuned in to see him.

And just for the record, you - like DR JANE - may have already noticed the effects of this triple whammy:

Mercury stops (22 degrees of Gemini at 8:49AM PDT) and so does Neptune (25 degrees of Aquarius at 9:16AM). Both planets retreat -- Mercury until June 19 and Neptune until November 1. Mercury motionless places a special focus on communication, transportation, business, trade, papers, language, classes and learning programs. Neptune not moving emphasizes photography, film, video work, music, dance, theater, spirituality, religion, confusion, chaos and illusions. It is difficult enough to interpret the halt and reversal of one planet, but now three celestial bodies have made turnarounds in less than 36 hours. When uncertainty reigns supreme, you should count your blessings and refrain from making decisions and buying big-ticket items. Another key reason to keep your John Hancock off important legal documents.
