Well, you've read the notes, the notes managed to escape the black hole of Calcutta, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently in the black hole of Calcutta driving around.

I ate at the Claim Jumper last night - had the crab wedge salad, which was very, very good.

Tonight on tv for me:

Season finale of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.

Season finale of SMALLVILLE.

Btw, Terri Hatcher was on The View this week and she said that the last 2 minutes of the show change everything for all characters!

There have been rumors (all write them below in case anyone does not want to know).

Good morning, all! I slept an hour later and arose about 7:30. I'm reasdy to head into Toyland to check some info on an actress of 1912, Victorine Hayes, and do a bit of Brain surgery. I need to plan my schedule for  Monday and Tuesday: mopping the floor with Steri-Fab, laundry, and packing are my main concerns.

I have no other plans today, and I'm ecstatic about it.

I plan to play a little more of the PC game Culpa Innata. The graphics are okay, but the animation isat times laughable in a bad way. But I like the games that you have to solve puzzles to advance the plot.

Well, I expect it would be a waste of breath ink CRT phosphor to explain to BK that his Saturday evening traffic problems on the 91-5-101 journey were normal, expectable, and quite logically explainable. (When I lived in Fullerton that was my usual route from home/work to LA).

The 101 Freeway is the only N/S highway thru downtown LA. Right near city hall is a giant "merge" where traffic arriving from the south via the 110. 710, and 5 (which has earlier feeds from the 91 and 605) and from the east via the 10 and 60 all compete to occupy the same four lanes under the city. Any traffic disruption can cause giant back-ups which can take hours to unfold.

And there are no plans in sight to relieve the congestion: attempts to widen freeways or add additional freeways are all shot down by the local communitites effected.

der Brucer

NOTE The theatre is near the lower-left corner by the "91". BKs home environment is in the upper left hand corner on the 101 west of  the 134 and 170 junction.

Good morning!

Another cool morning, but it's clouding up as I sit here typing, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't have rain this afternoon.

After I read the newspaper and had my morning oatmeal (apple and cinnamon), I mowed the side strip of grass in my back yard. I still have the backyard to go, but didn't want to do that this morning. It's not at all overgrown, and that side strip tends to grow much faster and more out of control.

Glad I got it done if it does indeed rain later today.

Today I'll be finishing the second half of MY NAME IS EARL along with finally getting to watch THE OFFICE, all of which I'll do as I cook and eat lunch.

Then, I'll spend the remainder of the afternoon with THE INVADERS. There are only three episodes on disc three, so I should be on disc four by this evening.

If DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES does indeed jump forward in time (not a spoiler; it's an unsubstantiated rumor), I'm hoping Lynette will be standing over the gravestone of Kayla. And hopefully, Tom will have generated a few more brain cells instead of constantly being so clueless about things happening right before his eyes.

Well today is the first session of auditions for my production of Arthur Miller's play "All My Sons."  I am hoping to get good people for at least five of the roles.....of course we have another session tomorrow evening....so maybe the OTHER five will show up then.

Time will tell.

Off to the Hazel Day Longden Theatre on Round Barn Road in Greencastle, home of the Putnam County Playhouse, now in its 47th Season!

I'm feeling out of sorts this morning; not good, not bad - comme-ci, comme-ca.  I read for quite a while in bed last night, after 1am, then tossed and turned most of the night.  Dixie Bell woke me with sloppy wet ones at 8:15am - what was she thinking? - and even after a couple cuppas, I'm still lethargic.  Just ate a nice small breakfast of blueberry waffles with syrup, maybe that will throw some energy my way.  I need the energy for the grocery shopping, laundering and cooking to take care of later. . . .

A riff on cheesy alien films of the 50s! What a brilliant idea.

Maybe someone will play copy-cat and write a musical based on a similar theme.
