TOD:
I followed Bruce here, via personal invite, from rec.arts.theatre.musicals.
(I think)
. . .and I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it's been quite lovely being around all these Hainsies and Kimlets for so long.  It's been even better when we've met up face-to-face.

I've not been on line here for a week.  As a consequence I've lost weight!

I eventually found the path to this site after being a reader of "Column "A" and then detouring down some dark Alley.

Last night's viewing here was a quite competent TV production of "Design For Living" - from the Noel Coward collection.

Not my day. Picked up some clothes at the cleaners to find that one sweater looks like it was ruined. I phoned, and at least the manager was decent over the phone. We'll see what happens when I return with the sweater. I hate having to complain, and it's difficult to keep a positive attitude about it. sigh.

It is always fun to read the stories of finding HHW.  Ron, yours is funny.

Penny O called me for Bruce’s phone number, which I gave her.  Thinking she might also need his work number, & knowing the number I had was obsolete, I did a search for his new number.  First I found that too was obsolete & then with more searching I found a link to this site.  Back then we didn’t gather on weekends & I just happened to arrive on the 5th day.

On that day Bruce just happened to mention he was looking for someone I have known since 4th grade, so of course I had to post.

Tomorrow will be my anniversary.  My first post was Thursday November 15, 2001 at 5:51PM.  I can’t believe it has been 6 years. :o :D

Jeanne, I hope they can fix the sweater.  Reminds me, I had a vest to collect from the cleaners.

3DDiffusion and other interested parties - as I mentioned way back when, I was always told that it takes NYMF forever to get us our box-office monies and that is sadly proving to be the case.  I was told back then not to expect them until the end of November.  A week ago, NYMF was making noises that checks were about to be written, but, as far as I know, they haven't been, so it looks like it won't be before the end of November.

Thanks for all the well-wishes for my upcoming(!) working vacation.  What's really cool is that I'll be working alongside two of my favorite NYC casting directors.  Additionally, the participants of the workshop are actually the current cast of performers on the ship - most of whom I played for when they auditioned for the gig!

Congrats, Jose!  Have a great trip!  Don't forget to take some pictures!! :D

Does the anagram for roast mules involve a children's physical activity, per chance?  That's what occurred to me, anyway.  BK, if you haven't seen it already, rent "Wordplay," the fabulous documentary about Wil Shortz and the New York Times crosswords--it's wonderful and frequently hilarious.

TOD:  well, BK himself invited me over here, hopefully not one of the things he rues about the last 7 years.  :)

Just taking a breather.  I set aside the clothes I wanted to bring with me.  Then after looking at the pile of clothes, I put some clothes back in the dresser or the closet.  -Heck, I'm only going away for five days and fours nights.  Thankfully, since I'll be in warmer climes, most of my apparel will consist of shorts and t-shirts.  I do have to bring one dress jacket for the "formal" night/meal on the cruise, but since I only have one of those, well... ;)

What!  No thong?

I was searching for a little info on the movie, "Une Chambre en Ville" and BUYSOUNDTRAX says "The set is limited to 2000 copies. :-\ That's not what my CD, and BK, and Kritzerland.com says. ;)

It's limited to 1200 - and buysoundtrax also got the price wrong initially.

Had a nice day watching numerous things.

I began with last night's BOSTON LEGAL. Lots of it was so over the top that I got a bit tired of it. Couldn't believe the way Alan's case turned out. John Laroquette's character promised Clarence he was a tiger in the courtroom, and I couldn't have been more underwhelmed.

Next came Sunday night's DEXTER that I just got to today. Oh, these men that hook up with damaged, desperate ladies. (Of course, Dexter is pretty damaged himself.) This isn't going to end well for someone, and I'm expecting since Dexter is the series star, it's not going to be he that comes to a bad end.

Next, I watched THE SANTA CLAUSE 3: THE ESCAPE CLAUSE. Barely passable as entertainment. Martin Short (as Jack Frost, jealous he doesn't have a holiday in honor of him)tries mightily to inject some snaky fun into the mix, but the script is just limp.

Very colorful and filled with Christmas music, though, so I'm sure families will find enjoyment in it.
