H/K REUNION! Tomorrow night...NYC.Be there or be...
I gather XANADU is a fairly short show, under 2 hours.
Perhaps to boost our posting number for today, I shall bore -- er -- amuse you all with some nature photos.
DR FRANCOIS thanks for posting the Art Linkletter interview. Very very interesting. And I am of course intrigued by the idea of George White's Sandals.
So Jose, can we meet at the Helen Hayes at 10 minutes to 3? I already have the tix, so no need to get them at the box office.
Now for the bad/puzzling news...I just got back from the 7:00 showing of "Private Property ("Nue propriété). When I left the theatre, I figured it had to be at least 9:30... It was only 8:40... The cast was headed by the always amazing Isabelle Huppert, and she shared most of the screen time with real life twins (and rather cute too!) Jérémie and Yannick Renier playing her twin sons. This happened. Then that happened. Then we watched them fight. Then we watched them watch TV. It was one of those very measured and "simple" movies where we observe people's lives. Joachim Lafosse was the director, and for what it was, it was good. Alas, I found most of it a bit tedious, drawn out, and a little too artsy (plain) for it's own good. When the movie finished, I heard many people asking their companions, "What was that?" I was asking the same thing, just to myself, in my head. Once I returned to street level - the cinemas at Lincoln Square are underground - I went back to the display ad for the movie which featured the somewhat glowing NY Times review. I just had to read it to see if there was anything I had missed. Well... Other people who had just seen the movie were doing the same thing.
See you there!-Oh... I guess I'm not seeing the closing matinee of Coram Boy then.
...stuck in the Midwest?
Ain't it the truth?
Page five, where art thou?
Holy moley on rye, will we never reach page five.
Will we never get to page six?
At this rate we'll be lucky if we get to page six.
Will we never get to page seven?
Hmm... When I first read this, I thought you had posted: "mature photos".
Mr Jérémie Rénier is from Belgium: I have not seen his twin in movies yet! Besides being good looking (He's a brunette who likes his hair blond! Thought you'd like to know J.R. (!) is quite talented as an actor.I am a fan.He reminds me of Gavin Creel....http://www.act1.fr/photoscv/jeremierenierhd.jpghttp://www.film-forward.com/lenfant.jpghttp://perso.orange.fr/pierre.et.gilles/lesamants.htm
I loved all the performances. I just didn't love the movie. And the Mssrs. Reniers - One of them is a blond in the movie, one of them is a brunette. But both are very easy on the eyes.
I could post a couple of those.
