Well, I think I shall toddle off to the bedroom environment and plotz.  I do hope I haven't put on ten pounds in the last few weeks, but I wouldn't be surprised if I had.  But, tomorrow, it's back to the svelte, lean and lithe me.

Does yours take video?  That's one feature I really love about mine.

I don't like the 3x zoom.  I wish it had about 10x.

It looks like it can take an hour of video!!  That's pretty cool.  As for the zoom, I was looking at cameras that has at LEAST 10x opitcal zoom and several that had 12x optical zoom...and a view finder. ::)

Well, enjoy the one you have.  I'm sure you will get lots of great photos to keep, share and enjoy with it.

Good night, Gentlemen.  I'll speak with you again later on today!

I don't understand why they even have a lower pixel setting.  Seems a waste to me.  If your going to take a photo, don't you want to take the best one you can?

How are you going to know when you are going to take that one special picture and you'll want to blow it up or crop it or do something that you can't do with a lower setting?

The rationale for the lower pixel setting is to conserve memory space. If your going on an outing where you might want to take 50 or so shots before you get home to download, the smaller pixel size is an advantage. (The large pixel sizes are only of value if you intend to do an 8x10 quality blow-up - in today's world, most photos are sent via Internet and are displayed on monitors where the smaller file sizes are almost mandatory (and you suffer no loss of quality at the monitor level for the lower pixel settings).

God bless us everyone indeed!

Good morning, all, and Merry Christmas!  I have to wake up, wrap several gifts and head off to a do at the home of Mr Ron Raines and his family.  I have several tasteful gifts for my beloved goddaughter, and the Christmas brunch will be a delightful social occasion.

After that, I shall return and watch more holiday DVDs.  I want to look up Pee-Wee Herman's Christmas special; it's here somewhere.

TOD:  I haven't opened my packages yet, but I did get checks from my Dad and brother Randy, photos from our DR MBarnum of The Brain events, a lovely gifts from our DRs TCB, Tomovoz, and Jason; and I have packages from my friend Loyce, Rodgers & Hammerstein (I'm pretty sure it's the WHITE CHRISTMAS CD) and our DR Jose.

I have a package waiting for me at the Post Office, which might be from the Macbeths, but I'm expecting nothing from them this year and possibly never again.  I suspect it's from our DR Nurse Jane.

We did a gift trade at my Dad's for the adults. (There are still 6 kids I have to shop for and it's a madhouse---they rip them open and little pieces immediately disappear and fights ensue because one kid, no matter what he gets, wants what his cousin got, even if it's the same hting but a different color!)

The gift exchange was one of those where you open something and you can either keep it or trade for a previously opened gift. I brought something I would like, which was a DVD and various exotically colored popcorn kernels from India, hoping I would get a high number and trade back for it.

I ended up with a set of tacky coasters with little sayings based on virtues...faith, charity, etc. Oooooops! I somehow mistakenly left them at my Dad's!

My DH is still abed...Santa just left him a present. I think I'll go back and see if the 'fraidy cat has emerged.

Good morning, Lar!

It's chilly and rainy and gloomy here in Johnston SC this morning.

Perfect for contemplation.

TCM airing "The Man Who Came to Dinner".  I totally forgot it has a Christmas ambience.

Fun film.

Christmas morning greetings!  After our quiet Christmas Eve dinner with my mother, we took her on a drive to see light displays, dropped packages at the homes of my aunt and some friends, took my mother home, and went to midnight services - lovely.

Today we're off to Cincinnati to the home of DH Richard's younger brother.

Merriest of Christmases to All!

Good morning!

We have a soggy, cold CHristmas Day here. I'm sorry for kids who might have looked forward to taking new things out to play with them and their parents who might not get much relief from their children's excitement during the day.

THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER! Of course, what a wonderfully fun film to watch at Christmas! I, too, had forgotten all about it. I doubt I'll be able to squeeze it in today, but maybe tomorrow.

Merry christmas, everybody!

My favorite presents have been the ones for the dogs.  They really seem to understand that when lots of presents are being opened, there will be something for them as well.  (But they seem to expect that at brirthdays as well, and that can be a problem.)

I started my workout about 15 minutes earlier this morning than usual so I could assure myself some computer time before having to get ready for my DREAMGIRLS outing at noon.

Tonight, I'm once again invited to best friend John's house. He and his wife have invited one of his co-workers who they think might be a fine fellow for me to know. Yes, a blind date! A totally unexpected Christmas present.

Loved the party report, DR GEORGE's photos...the lovely condolences for Kachina...

Today is rainy.

MY BEST gift this year was a photograph of my second grade class.  There we are on the steps of Newby Elementary School with Mrs. Olive Gee.

Thanks to kindly Mrs. Gee who patiently guided us through PHONICS and CURSIVE I can now READ and WRITE.
