I don't mind location changes in Virginia Woolf, and my only problems stem from being so used to the original actors rhythms and readings and the clutter of Richard Sylbert's production design - I suppose it's valid, but it's not where I think George and Martha would live.

I'd only have to make another 98 posts.

The thought of seeing my avatar another 98 times, however, is enough to make me want to vomit on the ground.

I suppose we shall see what we shall see.

I think we offered the final role in the kids show to someone we saw on the first day - not ideal, certainly not my first or even second choice, but I think he's directable and I think he'll be fine in this incarnation - we can always replace him if he's not strong enough or not right enough.

TOD:  Pygmalion

Dial M for Murder

Rope  (I believe it was based on a play.  I know it was done a few years ago on the London stage with John Barrowman, which was how he met his husband--he was in the audience and was impressed by the nude scene!--he says.)

John Barrowman met his "husband?"  Are you saying - are you trying to tell everyone - let me get this straight - are you implying, saying, or stating that Mr. Barrowman is... is...

I fell asleep during Sparkle - so boring was it.  But, a couple of the seeds of Dreamgirls are in the film - the mother's name is...  Effie.

I think he meant how he met Hitchcock's husband - or maybe I misunderstood.

I  have to say that today was the most gorgeous day I've experienced in a long while.

The clouds rolled by, the sky was a robin's egg blue, and the air was sweet and refreshing.

Temperature in mid-70s (in the sun, the window thermometer registered 110).

I set up a table on the screened-in porch so my mom and aunt and I could play Scrabble.   Alas, the glare of the sun on the pond was more than my aunt could bear, so we played at the kitchen table.

Rain is in tomorrow's forecast, but I'm happy we had today!

Isn't it refreshing to find someone who admits to judging a book by its cover?

Alfred Hitchcock had a husband?  I know Alma was flat-chested, but I don't think she had a penis.  I can't be certain of course.

At once met a date using Soap on a Rope - but that's another tale.

My mom, aunt and I drove to Batesburg SC this afternoon to take my cousin Benjamin (4 years) to his father Butch (55 years old), also my cousin.  Batesburg is midway between Lexington SC and Johnston SC.  Butch is a doctor in Lexington and was shopping for Santa yessterday and today.

On the way home, we passed the house where I dined last night...and Miss Jane was in her porch swing, watching the cars drive by.  I'm told she sits there every nice afternoon.

I did hear that Alma Hitchcock had a pianist at her wedding, but that's another story, and another old joke.

As Archie Bunker (I think) said, we're a regular Wisconsin Round Table here.

I don't believe I ever heard the word "Wisconsin" pass Archie Bunker's lips.

But I could be wrong....

Ron P - Not sure if you're kidding, but it's the one about the hard-of-hearing genie thinking the man who rubbed the lamp asked for a ten-inch pianist.

Is the lady with the broken leg selling the piano or is she just sitting by it?
