From memory my first Disney recording is "Wringle Wrangle" from "Westward Ho The Wagons".

What - no Davy Crockett!

I think only the Bill Hayes version was issued here in OZ.

I just read that NBC has pulled KIDNAPPED from its Saturday at 9 slot and will fill in with reruns of LAW & ORDER: CI. The remaining 8 unaired episodes of KIDNAPPED will be shown at NBC.com and not on the network.

"Yes, I'm going Do-Mi-Do-ing in my Do-Mi-Do duds!"

Are you telling me they can't just use those lyrics?

I KNOW! How can you get any better than that?

Good hunting, Der B. I'm going to shake down Frank Scardino for more information. Wherever it plays, I will be there. And it will never surpass the movie, I am sure!

T E Ford's version may also have had an issue here.  I can only remember the Hayes version.  Coon-skin caps were NOT worn in Australia.

I don't know if I have any of the pressed CDs left, I'll have to look- but if I don't, I can burn them for you.

While you're at it...ahem...

I was reading "Benjamin Kritzer" at the laundromat today and loved the chapter which talked about reel changes. If young Benjamin only knew how much thought we editors put into where to make the reel changes, his head might have exploded!

I met Licia Albanese this weekend at a function in her honor by the Musician's Emergency Fund. Looked pretty good for 93.

Yesterday's mail (No - not yesterday's male) brought a copy of "Mouse Tracks - the Story of Walt Disney Records"  I'm sure it will be informative and enjoyable reading.

Included in the acknowledgements in the book is the name of a Frenchman known to us all at HHW.

The gererous and well-informed François - sometime HHW expert in things "Mouse".

From memory my first Disney recording is "Wringle Wrangle" from "Westward Ho The Wagons".

The library system that I work for has this book!  I just requested it. :)

Now if we can only find an elmore toast!

Do you mean along the lines of:

Through the lips and over the gums...?

:D

Or something scary like, "Uh-oh!  There was a fire and Larry's now toast"?

they cut 11 whole musical numbers and re-shot for one whole week.
Hans Conreid on THE 5,000 FINGERS OF DR. T, in an interview with Leonard Maltin in "The Real Stars," 1973.

Thanks for posting this, DR Rodzinski!

If only there could be a deluxe anniversary edition. 50 years...5,000 Fingers...

DR EDISAURAUS - if ONLY they had done FINGERS instead of SEUSSICAL....I am not a FAN of that show.

I am not a fan ever since I bought tickets for it on Broadway and they cancelled it before I got to see it!

I hope I will become a Dirty Rotten Scoundrels fan. Off I go!

Am looking forward to tonight's "Jericho," "Lost" and "The Nine."

Will have to record "Bones" for weekend viewing.

It's turned cool and it's very dark out right now....at 3:27 p.m.   Looks like rain....but they say not.

Anyone else see Ms Minnelli on L & O: CI  last night.

1) She must have worked down on her face or they were using the Lucille Ball Mame filters on her. Or way too much makeup

2) She is way too old to be playing a mother of a 12 year old.

3) And has she always talked if she was drunk? And if so how can one tell when she was really drunk or stoned?

I see that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillppe are splitting. I think some people here on HHW will be glad to see that Ryan is available again.

I understand he has gotten some good reviews for a recent film.

I've always been underwhelmed by him.  He has always seemed a bit bland.

She's made some major mistakes during her adult life.  She has health problems.  She may have teeth problems.

I always wish her well and hope she'll do better each time I see her.

Well, I got my Election day assignment. I'm going to be poll watching in an area of town where it is alleged minority voters were harassed by Republicans during the last election. (not throwing stones, just stating the allegations). So Sunday I go to a class to learn what I can and can't do if it happens again.  I poll watch from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM - the time most likely to have problems.   I'm looking forward to it.  I poll watched years ago, but that was in a small town where nothing exciting happens, so this will be really fun
