If you were here, you could come to La La's.

If I was there, I would gladly go.

I enjoyed MURDER AT THE GROVE.  I read it a couple days ago. I haven't posted a reveiw yet, but I will

Shocker in the diving competition, unless of course it was taped and you already know all about it.

It was very exciting!!

Stars are best for gambling on Aug 29-31

Hmmm., We have a riverboat casino in town. I've been there once in 7 years. I've been thinking it would be fun to play some slots... and I'll have to remember to buy a lottery ticket on those days

I would like to see Olympic coverage bloopers when the sportscasters were learning to pronounce all the names of the different athletes.  They had to have practiced, they are too comfortable with all of them

I think I need to look for my ice cream maker. Then I could experiment with some unusual flavors.

Well... Too bad Barack Obama and Joseph Biden could not have "practiced" earlier today.  ;)

I can't get it through my brain that tomorrow is Sunday. Not sure why.  I keep thinking I need to go to work in the morning.

DR MattH - This may have been asked before, but...

If you happen to get a box set of a TV series that you already watched "religiously" during it's original broadcast - say, even took notes - would it be possible for you just to skim through the DVDs to get a general idea of the look of the DVDs?  -And then just watch the bonus features and extras?

No, I watch everything again for the simple reason that if there are sound or video issues anywhere in the episodes, I couldn't report faithfully if I didn't watch everything again. I know other reviewers just sample these box sets and admit that they watch only one or two episodes per disc, but I watch everything.

That's admirable, especially if there is one you weren't particularly fond of the first time

I do have to grit my teeth with some of the shows I have to watch, but most network series are professionally done, even if it's not quite down my alley. It's the cable stuff like A SHOT OF LOVE or COLLEGE HILL INTERNS that make me cringe.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that it's MUCH easier to review these when you've already seen the shows before. When I finish NCIS, I'll start on THE SHIELD, and I devoured all 10 episodes in that set when they were aired originally, so it's much easier to follow something when you're hitting it for the second or third time.

I'm tired, but am enjoying Pete Kelly's Blues.  I don't think I'll be able to watch another movie tonight, but, then again, you never know.
