I noticed that last night's MAD MEN is already up in the HD On Demand spot, so I may try to get to it tonight along with THE CLOSER (of course) this evening.

DR MattH - My roommate noticed that "Mad Men" was put on the On Demand slate last week right after it aired during it's regular time slot.  I'm not sure if your cable system does the same thing, but...

I may look next Sunday to see if that happens here. The second week of this season, the episode didn't go up until the following week, and I ended up recording a later episode in SD and watching it before the HD version was posted. Week 3 worked out as this week has.

In the mail today, Season 6 of THE SHIELD for review. It comes out next Tuesday as does SALO, but they're both on hold until I can finish THE PRESIDENTS.

Yay!Two mysteries and a sparkling prize....

I also received a sparkling prize and 2 mysteries - well, actually 2 copies of one mystery.

BK, I really wanted 1 copy of each Adriana Hofstetter book.  Please advise.

Do we need to call the Game Warden?

No. He's ok with it. It seems to be crawdads and mosquitofish that make him cringe.

Did you know that if you say "mosquitofish" to a roomful of game wardens, they will all cringe at the same time?

Have any of you worn bamboo clothing?  It's unbelievably soft.

I have lots of bamboo socks. They are soft but not as durable as regular cotton...

Back from my errands, which included a stop at our town's Vera Bradley dealer to work out a problem with a special order they'd placed for me.  The result may prompt a total change in my "wardrobe strategy" for our trip to NYC next week.

The shop is really a home decor studio, selling many decorative items and furniture.  Some of the furniture is on consignment and I may have found a replacement for my family room chair.  Just waiting for Richard to come home from an errand and we're going back out to take another look at the chair and decide if it will coordinate with the couch (I'm taking a swatch of the couch fabric.)

for Simon Pegg fans:

DP Colin and I watched "Big Nothing" last night. It's an enjoyable comedy - certainly not up to the standard of "Spaced" or Hot Fuzz" but at 80 minutes it does not wear out its welcome.
