Just had some Jack In The Box tacos - very weird, but I like them.

You know, I just loved Beauty and the Beast. But I really don't think I am interested in any other Disney musicals.

I'm pushing for a law prohibiting Sondheim revivals on Broadway for 10 years. no more animated movies turned into musicals, and the reversion of 42nd Street from a theme park to the den of whores, addicts, and dealers it was in 1979 when it was fun to walk down it.

I'm guessing that if I discuss any live Olympic results that i should put spoiler space (since NBC does not seem to show anything live).

So if i'm just discussing in general i won't put space. But if i'm discussing a result (that probably won't have aired in the US) i will.

I found out something interesting. CBC is showing all their events live on the internet (there are numerous channels but the events can only be watched live).

I'm curious if this works in the US.

http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/

(the channels are on the right side for the events on at the time).

When I do it it says "Sorry this video is not available in your area"

I'm enjoying watching the Olympics. I know it's delayed, but as long as I don't know what the results are, it's fun to watch.

I'm now getting "this content is currently unavailable".  Of course you don't find that out until after watching the McDonald's commercial. ;D  At least it is a very nice commercial.

I love gymnastics. I'm really cheering for the two alternates on the US Mens team who suddenly are on the team. How cool would it be if they both medaled!

What's with the taped design on the shoulder of the Carrie Walsh a US woman volleyball player. Did she have to cover up a tattoo or something?

Apparently the opening of the Olympics caused much havoc with theater in LA - Alet told me that they had about six people in the audience last night.

It was fantastic!  There are a lot of people who watch the Olympics even if they don't usually watch sports

AH, turns out she's not covering up anything it's a sort of tape that helps her recovery from surgery.  Interesting

What this?  I return from a day of doing nothing, and we are only on Page Five.  I shall be getting out the bitch-slapping machine, at least I will if elmore is still online!

I think I will have to get me the DVD of that movie above, cause the guy in the turban kind of sets my heart of fire.

They probably didn't show up for fear you'd pull out a projector and force them to watch a Bollywood spectacle.

I never discuss Bollywood with my family. It makes their eyes glaze over.

We leave for southern Oregon next week.  I bit the bullet and purchased a notebook computer yesterday so that I can stay in touch while we're gone.  I think I got a pretty good deal--it's a nice Gateway, beautfilu blue color, with wireless built in and a webcam (not that I'll be using that, LOL).  After the rebate and my gift card, I got it for about $400.
JMK, Where will you be going in southern Oregon?  Have fun!

DR Jane, brother Allen and family are all in Seattle this weekend for some type of a sports event or something, so they were not at the reunion.

So much for my Netflix! Pathetic choices quickly run through. I'm starting a new policy: if I'm not caught up in 15 minutes, off they go. Maybe I'll watch Miss Helen Mirren in the bawdy COUNTRY WIFE again. I like a good smutty double-entendre comedy.  Although there are a lot of single entendre in Wycherly as well, lke the back door scene and the bone china. Hmmm.

These subtitles explain so much about your quaint turns of phrase, DR MBarnum!

I'm sorry for you.  Did they drive so they can stop and visit during their return trip?
