Three of them?! Holy Moly!! He is "Da Man"! I barely survived this one! This is, was, and will be my one and only. (As everyone has been asking me) What does DH plan to do with his Master? Does he want a Doctorate? Which areas has his Master work been in?

I've know DH Richard since 1958 or so; trust me: he's insane!

Um, actually, DR Miss Karen, my DH already has a doctorate.  His other 2 Master's and his Ph. D. are in educational fields and he's been retired 5 years from public school teaching/administration.  This current Master of Arts in Ministry represents a whole new direction for him, picking up on the vocational goal he outlined for himself back in 8th grade (long before I knew him).

Need I say he really loves going to school?

Good Morning!

Greetings from MCO - a.k.a. the Orlando International Airport.

We disembarked the Disney Wonder around 8:30, and I was at the airport by 9:30.  And I was through the TSA screening by 9:55!  :)  -Which kind of surprised me since it was quite a busy check-in area when I checked in.  However, they kept opening new lines in the security area when i got there, and was able to move right through with barely a pause.

My flight does not leave until 2:00, and there was no room on the 11:00 flight to fly standby.  -And my flight is apparently packed too.  -I wonder if they' are going to be looking for "volunteers"?  Hmm...

A quadruple Holy Moly!! Three Masters AND a Doctorate?! (I'm on my knees facing toward Ohio, bowing,  and chanting, "I'm not worthy!")

So, since I have a few hours here at the airport before I board...

I've caught up on my emails.  I've transferred my photos from my camera to my computer.  I've already edited some of the pics.  And, now, I'm a-readin' and a-postin'.

AMS had a fine CN last night.  The cast gave me a lovely gift, a GC to BaN for $75.....which I will spend this week.

I am auditing auditionings for TIOBE in a couple of hours, and helping to build the set for SIR.  Just a typical Sunday in IN!

Yes, one master's degree was enough for me. The superintendent of the school system where I worked hounded me for years after I got my MA to go on for my doctorate. Yes, it would have meant more money in my pay check, but I saw no sense in getting a doctorate to continue teaching middle school. I had no interest in college teaching or public school adminstration, and I just didn't see the sense in getting a Ph.D. just for the sake of it. Also, I put SO MUCH PRESSURE on myself as a student that I was just relieved to be free of all that pressure. Sure, I had to continue to go back to school every five years to keep my teaching credential valid, but taking two classes during a five year period for renewal purposes was a great deal less pressure-filled than working to make A's in course work for a degree.

One of the few things I despise about doing community theater - strike after you've done your last show and are completely exhausted.

DR elmore - I hope you have a much better day today than you had yesterday.

Thanks, dear! I actually had a wonderful day, and the reports this morning are that last night's concert went quite well, even though the drummer and pianist never looked at the conductor. The sunburn, which was the prime reason I was feeling crabby, seems much less today and being confined to a room with AC is truly balm to the soul.

Yep, the "art" of striking a set .... Whenever I strike a set, I'm always hit by that realization that it's such long, painstaking work to create something, but such quick work to destroy something...
