I never go to movies on the opening weekends, in fact, I rarely got see movies in theaters any more.  Come to think of it, I am still waiting to see BIRTH OF A NATION.

Well, at least you were at the birth of the nation.

bk - I don't think there were that many DRs who saw "Sex & The City" on it's opening weekend.  And I'm sure there are some DRs who haven't seen the movie yet, and probably don't care to see the movie.

I think the HHW NYC contingent may have skewed your perception of our "enthusiasm".  Yes, it was an "event", but it was an event for more than just the DRs and lurkers of HHW.  I think if there were more DRs on here with kids, then maybe "Wall-E" would have been more of a must-see-now movie.

Yay.  I hope everyone gets over any ambivalence and goes to see it.  It's a work of art, and entertaining as all get out, and I think we know how entertaining all get out is.

Thanks DR Jose!  I really did panic more than I thought I would. Usually I'm expecting to have a tornado warning and don't get one. Tonight I was totally caught by surprise.  Now that I've had the practice run, I will handle it differently next time....that is unless I panic again :D

The brilliant news reporters are still reporting what the brilliant health people are reporting - they "think" the "likely" cause of the salmonella thing "might" be tomatoes, even though they have not ONE shred of evidence or proof.  But, they're also looking at other vegetables now.  Perhaps they should do a recall of all vegetables while they figure it out.

I hear they're blaming the tornado on tomatoes - gas prices, too.

I plan to see WALL-E this week sometime.  I will be really digging in to work on my murder trial. A movie is a good way to take a break.

I'm 4', 9 1/2" tall, does that count?  ;D

Yeah, it's the gasses given off from the rotting tomatoes that weren't eaten that caused the rotation in the clouds creating a tornado   ;D

BK - Repeat after me:  NO ONE IS AMBIVALENT ABOUT SEEING "WALL-E"!

*However, it is nice to know that there is a film that was made "today" that you actually like and recommend to people. ;)

Yikes, DR Cillaliz!  I'm glad you and the cats are safe and that the damage was not severe.

My big adventure for the evening was to go down the 2 steps into the family room.  Actually, it has crossed my mind just how I'd get to the basement if we had tornado warnings and the "take cover" call.  It's more possible now than 3 weeks ago, but still not something I could do with ease.

I'm also going to try to start eating right this week.  I have just let this getting fat stuff go too far.  I really don't like seeing what I look like in a mirror or a photo, so it's time. I may not be perfect because I'm a stress eater, but maybe it will be better than if I don't try to be good

The "brilliant news reporters" are only reporting what the staff over at the CDC is reporting.  Don't blame the messenger.

*And just be glad that you haven't eaten something over the past few weeks that was tainted with salmonella.

Thanks Ginny.  If there was a tornado coming, you'd get downstairs. Even if it meant sliding down the steps on your rear!

The galleries were packed this afternoon - and a bit noisy.  I will have to go back again when it is, hopefully, quieter, and sit and absorb all the images.

But again... WOW!

*And the exhibit runs through September 15, so there's still plenty of time to catch it.

Thanks so much for posting this!  I'm sure we'll be taking this in as well! :)

It was an exciting evening and no real damage so all is OK.  Plus this is the 8th post for one story.

We are certainly glad you came out without any damage!

We'll probably see Wall-E sometime this week.  Do you suppose it's OK for me to go to a movie while I'm on medical leave?

DR JulieC40 - You're very welcome.  If you do plan on seeing this, I suggest starting with the Dali exhibition when you go MoMA, then see just how much more of the museum you want to see.  Otherwise, it could end up being a very tiring, lots-of-time-on-your-feet, visit.  MoMA does publish a "highlights" pamphlet, so that may be a good way to "express" yourselves through the museum.

*Oh, and I really like the dining room on the fifth floor - especially if you can get a table on the outside balcony overlooking the sculpture garden.

DR Cillaliz - Glad to hear that you and the cats are safe and unscathed.

Sounds like Boo scathed her a bit.

I am glad you are ok and there was no tornado that came your way.

Thanks Julie and Laura.  Yes my arm is scathed by Callie and my nerves were scathed by Boo. Nothing I won't recover from quickly.
