DR Ginny, I remember the times I called my father without a response.  The phone was either off the hook or he didn't hear it.

I hope your mother sleeps well tonight.

Yes, DR Jane, there are a lot of nuts in NYC  ;) !

I'm not keen on lots of pecan's-toasted and/or caramelized are ok.

The best nuts are the HHW kind. :)

Why am I watching "The Bachelorette"?  Hmm....

-Well, I know why I'm watching "The Bachelorette", but that still doesn't really explain why I'm watching "The Bachelorette".

Monkey Cake, to me is really fresh moist banana bread with frosting.

But it's probably moist banana cake with frosting.

I'm off to bed. Good night!

I didn't think about this until now (and I did know this), but his name is actually, Armand "Army" Archerd.

:)

I thought about it, but since you are  nice enough to send me a Dee-Vee-Dee....   :)

Last night I had a lovely dinner with my little French boy and my friend who plays cello with the ASO. We realized that we've been friends for over 30 years, and felt very old, especially when we started comparing knee pain! (His --arthritis, me---stupidity.)

In one of the most flagrant displays of recent corporate idiocy, eBay today changed its feedback policy so that sellers can not leave negative feedback for buyers.  The logic of this totally eludes me.  The discussion boards are hot and heavy about this, and some guy who tracks eBay listings says they are down over 30,000 in just the last few hours.  Methinks the policy will be quickly changed back.

Watched a motion picture on DVD.  I'm groggy.  I've been catching up on some magazine reading.  I am listless, so perhaps I'll make a list.

How many minutes did they have to cut for the broadcast?

Looks like it was about 8 minutes.

I watched all of the bonus features with THE INVADERS. There's an almost half hour interview with Roy Thinnes, pretty interesting stuff.

The original pilot of "Beachhead" was a little longer and had some extended scenes rather than scenes that were completely deleted. And the closing credits were done differently in the show that aired. Ellen Corby had a little more to do in the original pilot.

Oh, there were also three original ABC promos for the show which together only ran about 2 1/2 minutes.

I had about an hour left before prime time TV started, so I put in SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW. I've been debating about whether to buy one of the high def versions of the film or be content with the sDVD.

The film is deliberately soft due to all the CGI the actors interact with, and I'm not sure how much difference high def would make with it. I've read a bunch of reviews, but there are conflicting opinions. Some say there isn't much difference. Some say there is a world of difference.

Anyway, the movie is a fun little throwaway experiment that didn't quite work but is still pleasurable to rewatch every once in a while.

Hmm... It's currently 51 degrees here in NYC.  The high today was only 59 degrees.  The overnight low is supposed to be 48 degrees.  And tomorrow's high may only get up to 61.

Guess it's a good thing that I haven't packed away my sweaters.  ;) :-\ ???
