So, I got a disgruntled and accusatory e-mail from an Evening Primrose customer.  This guy had written me back on 4/29 saying he hadn't received his copy (he pre-ordered on 4/7).  Since I'd had not one person say they hadn't gotten theirs (out of over 1000), I was surprised - but that very day I sent him another copy.  Today he says he hasn't gotten that one either.  I told him I was done sending out copies, and I refunded his money immediately.  I also told him rather than writing me snippy e-mails he might want to have a little discussion with both his mail carrier and his local post office, since both copies obviously were either stolen or misplaced by them - IF he's telling the truth.  I would by once that a package could be lost or stolen, but twice - not me, I'm afraid.  Just doesn't ring true.  I probably should have done delivery confirmation on the resent one, then there'd be no not knowing the story.

But, since he hasn't responded to my last e-mails or thanked me for the refund, I'm marking the guy as the problem - I just don't believe two copies to the same person have gone astray, it's that simple.

Unfortunately I have known it to happen, still the customer could have been nice about it.

TCB - Actually, SLUG BEARERS OF KAYROL ISLAND got quite a few rather excellent reviews, including from the New York Times.

Okay, sorry, I was basically just pulling a name from the list.  The people I know (including DR George) who saw the show in Seattle really enjoyed YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, so I was surprised by this second snub in a row.

I see the city has already reached $4.00, and as usual, there is a drastic price drop in New Jersey.

I finally thought of one....

Al Adamson, director of BLOOD OF GHASTLY HORROR and BLAZING STEWARDESSES.

I was just getting ready to post him, too! (No, I didn't look him up, but I got my Video Screams update and he was the first listing, so it was kind of hard to ignore...)

How about Army Archer.

I didn't think about this until now (and I did know this), but his name is actually, Armand "Army" Archerd.

Arsenic?  or Boredom?

photo:   The Real Inspector Hound

We have to be very quiet.  Chief Lite Loafers can hear a wagon train approaching from fifty miles away, but our being on the second floor makes listening a heck of a lot more difficult.

Woody submits:

Anthony Ainley - The Master from Doctor Who

Neither the Master nor I would ever "submit."

(followed by a derisive low chuckle, at which Ainley was, indeed, a master.)

I'm surprised we aren't the highest area in the country.  We are only the highest, along with Portland, in the state.

I know 83 degrees is cool for DR Laura, I however was hoping it would cool down more before I took the long walk to the mailbox.  I hope I don't have to carry any packages back up the long hill.

Do you have a canvas bag that you could take with you...just in case?  Or one like they sell in grocery stores so that people don't use paper or plastic anymore?
