I'm wracking my brain...

Where have I heard this phrase before?     ;)

Next came COLD CASE, an OK episode with Ronny Cox as the principal guest star. I hadn't seen him in a long time. I guess we ALL get older!

I suspect Larry uses the services of a soprano.

*If Bryan does want to put some sweat-equity into his move, he could always pack up a majority of his belongings, put them on the truck, and then hire a team of movers to take care of the larger items.  And if he's renting from U-Haul, then there's also a better chance of having storage available in one of their self-service storage centers.

I guess you didn't see SWW's post on page 16 ;)

I don't know how storage would work with them, he certainly doesn't want to transfer his belonging twice.

I'll be passing along the tips-thanks.

Next came CSI: MIAMI with John Schneider as principal guest star. Nice to see him in a story about a burglary of a bank vault and a subsequent murder of one of the masterminds.

I'm sure you will have an excellent evening, DR JoseSPiano.  :)

I'm sure I will too.  I'm just sort of surprised at how difficult it has been picking a place to eat tonight.

I also recorded MEMBER OF THE WEDDING off TCM today, and watched about 40 minutes of it this afternoon. I love Julie Harris, but I hadn't seen this in awhile, and her performance did seem kind of "actory." Of course, she was in her mid-20s playing a 12-year old, so maybe that's part of the problem. It's still a lovely, touching film.

In the mail today was a box from Paramount shaped like a wooden crate with the words "Property of Mr. Jones" stamped on the outside.

Yep, you guessed it: new releases of the three INDIANA JONES movies in a set with new bonus features on each disc. I haven't watched any of them yet (though I might watch RAIDERS tonight before NCIS), but from the press release, it doesn't look like these transfers are any different from the 2003 transfers. It's just the bonuses that are new.

There are some two dollar bills out there. Or maybe DR Sandra has them all. She has been asking for them at banks, post offices, stores, etc.

If you happen upon one, she will send an original Goldstein (Mae-Ling or Wae-Ling) plus two one-dollar bills.

Jane,

Here is the UPACK link to the contanier moving service we used.

They charge $50/day to hold a truck on delivery.

They have storage before shipping  :).  I'll pass this on to Bryan now.  Thank you.

Wagnerian?

I'm still debating the comment as well! I prefer emotional to physical pain,

Just back from picking up mail - I probably shouldn't have gone back to sleep because I'm quite behind now.

At my corner, I just had a little fender bender - I literally tapped the guy in front of me because of his stupidity.  I know they usually blame the car behind but I will be speaking up loud and clear when they take my statement.  This guy was such an idiot it was beyond belief, as was his anal behavior.  There's construction going on at the corner, which makes it difficult to see oncoming cars.  He checked, let a car pass, then pulled out, I looked, no cars coming, turned and pulled out and this jerk was stopped in front of me - within seconds of pulling out he'd stopped for no reason at all.  He told me a car was coming - I told him no car was coming or I wouldn't have been fool enough to pull out.  The "damage" to his bumper (which I tapped while going about four miles an hour), was basically a dime-sized chip in his paint and below it a tiny little scratch.  There was no damage whatsoever to my loaner car.  Well, you'd have thought his car had been totalled.  He took my info, and then, with a straight face said "I think we're supposed to report this to the police."  I asked him what Planet he was from.  And then he insisted on calling his insurance company while I stood there, so he could report this horrendous thing to them.  I just shook my head.  He described his damage as scratches and paint chips in a tone that made it sound like I'd decimated his bumper.  While he was doing it, I simply took out my cell phone and took a photograph of his bumper.  After twenty minutes of this, he finally was done - I called my insurance company who told me not to bother doing anything until they actually filed the claim.  Then they'll call and take my statement.  But at least I have the photo and I'll be very accurate describing both what happened and his wildly overblown reaction to it.  What an anal little twit.

Bruce, I agree the guy was a bit overboard.  Good idea to have taken the photo.

On the other hand-sorry, but you need to watch for drivers pulling out ahead of you.  Sometimes they need to stop & make sure it is safe to continue on.  It happens & you are at fault.  Even drivers as good as you are missed things-it is a busy world out there.

I didn't watch the show last night, but I saw the previews and that was a GREAT replica of the machine from the 1960 film.
