Well, some moron on either All That Chat or Broadwayworld.com where the really dim bulbs hang out thinks he/she saw Stritch in the "God Tha's Good!" sequence of the new film. So maybe Elaine is expanding her boundaries.

Boy, I was being really bitchy here, and I have several friends on All That Chat whom I care for greatly: Milla, DR FJL, DR Julie, Alan Gomberg, Bruce Bossard, BK, and slingshaw and probably more I don't recognize. I apologize to all of you for my cattiness.

It's really all those tweens who need a life on Broadwayworld.com that drive me mad.  Who was the beast Eponine you ever saw? Oy!

Thank you, everyone! I'm sure DR Dakotacelt can use some as well: her father's death is more recent than mine and it's still torturing me. Some days are fine and some days I can hardly move from the pain of it.

With all the hoopla of the holidays many people forget that there are those who have suffered losses and, IMO, the holidays do make those losses more acute.

Hugs to all who need holiday support!

I really enjoyed the film.  Scared me.

I truly liked this movie, too.  I had read both of the books a while ago, and I though that David Fincher did a remarkable job with his direction.  Great cast.  Great attention to detail as well.

I watched some television episodes that DR MBARNUM sent me.

MR BK - featured prominently in the prizes on QUEEN FOR A DAY is lunch at The Murphy House.....did you or any other DRs from LA ever eat there?

Never heard of The Murphy House, although I'm sure I lunched at dear reader Jeanne Murphy's house.

I find most of the posters on b'wayworld to be insufferable, and not just the tweens, although they certainly seem to be the demographic of that site.  They are amongst the most illiterate, silly, YOUNG (and not in a good way) people, and perfect examples of their entitled generation.  I occasionally feel the need to set them straight with factual information - they don't like it when I do because they know everything at fourteen.

Hmm... Well, I guess if Marat/Sade could open around Christmas, than so can the movie of "Sweeney Todd".  ;)

And these Seasons Greetings films:

'Bad Santa' (2003)

'Black Christmas' (1974)

'Christmas Evil' (1980)

Die Hard 1988 (Xmas themed)

'Silent Night, Deadly Night' (1984)

Black Christmas' (2006)

And for next year:
Silent Night, Deadly Night' (2008)

I recently sent this message to a few friends:

"Why?" was no doubt the first word as I exited the womb,  and I have always been determined to find the answer.    This is something that is an asset in that I have not settled for the easy answer or untruths, have learned many things (despite being a pain in the ass in doing so),  and it has even been key to my survival.  It has also been a downfall  in that I don't accept things easily or let go when I should.

Now, there are a myriad of answers to "why?" depending on the circumstances (good and bad).  I have come to the determination that a few basic answers pretty much cover it all.

My answers to "Why?" are:
 --"Because"
--"Because I said so."
--"Because I'm bigger than you."
--"Why not?"
--"Why not you?"
--Because I am supposed to learn some lesson.
--Because I am supposed to learn to ask for help and not just try to do it all on my own.
My all -time favorite answer to "Why?' and which is quite appropriate and legitimate under certain situations is "Why?  Because we like you!"

Well, my Sweeney Todd soundtrack CD plays fine on my work computer, both CD players here at home, and my eMac.  We're curious to test it in DH Richard's car.

Downsized and quiet. DR Kerry came for dinner, and we played a game and laughed and laughed and laughed.
