TOMOVOZ,
I read ALL the Notes. If I get behind in the posts, I may skim some, but so far I've always caught up. It does take a lot of time, but YOUR POSTS ARE READ!

Does anyone still go through the notes (or read them)?  :)

There are notes on this site?! Well, who knew?! I thought the point of this here site was to post stuff, not read stuff... ;)

What happened to Page Six.  I thought I did it when I modified my dinner post, so I deleted it, but that ain't the problem, so here is that same post again.

Thank you, DRs FJL<blush>, Kerry, and Edisaurus.

We are going to dinner tonight at one of my all-time favorite restaurants:

The Grand Finale

Wow!  Any place that serves FILET & OYSTERS, as a dinner combo, is my kind of place.
Ummm, BACON, LOBSTER, & TOMATO DEVILED EGGS for an appetizer.  Yum!!

LOL

I think that Clive Owen film you mentioned the other day was released as "Croupier" in the UK and here. I've not seen it.

I've received an early Christmas present of the UK series "Spaced" - Supposed to be wonderful (if you enjoyed Shaun Of the Dead and Hot Fuzz).
I missed it if it was indeed ever shown here.

DR Ron and DR MattH - I'm headed to Lexington, North Carolina for a wedding at the end of December.  What sort of weather should I expect (based on previous December's)

Absolutely impossible to predict this far ahead. It's 80 here today. They're predicting a high of 47 on Sunday. It can literally change overnight.

Typically the highs would be in the mid 40s to lower 50s and lows in the 20s.

Matt Roush isn't much a fan of MOONLIGHT either, DR TCB, so I'm not sure his criticism is worth my time.

I began my afternoon of viewing by completing the bonus features on the LOST set. All anamorphic featurettes which I really appreciated. And they're enjoyable, too, especially for fans of the show.

Wish fulfilled:

In the mail today was a review copy of the Blu-ray version of LOST. Of course, the set streets today, so no way to get it watched on time, but it's here, and I'll get to it later in the week.

I happen to thrive on the notes and live vicariously through their contents.

Next, I put in the new Criterion release of TWO-LANE BLACKTOP. Interesting "groovy" film made right after the success of EASY RIDER. It bombed then, but it's more interesting now. Amazing that the two leading actors in one car are played by musicians James Taylor and Dennis Wilson. Warren Oates, of course, plays the rival racer in his GTO.

I began the film again and began listening to the two audio commentaries. The director and another filmmaker are in one, and the screenwriter with the story writer do the other. The second one so far is much more entertaining than the director commentary. In fact, if he wasn't being posed questions, he wouldn't even be talking.

I finished my afternoon skimming through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. No gay characters, and they weren't in the previews either.
