A number of tickets to the Oakland A's games are being dispersed within our agency this week.

Heck, the last time I went to a game, I was sitting behind left field. One of the power hitters hit the ball. I was pretty sure it would fall before reaching the fence, and then suddenly I found myself wondering why the baseball was getting bigger.

Then it hit me.

I guess the seven hours of sleep I got last night wasn't nearly enough since I surrendered to the Sandman about 2:30 this afternoon and slept about 90 minutes. Haven't done that in some time.

Before I took a nap, I did manage to watch two episodes of GREY'S ANATOMY from the second season set.

The first dealt with the lies patients tell their doctors, and the lies friends and lovers tell one another.

Yep, Disney is good with the force feeding, but I think this is one of the rare cases where the offering looks cherce.

The other episode was the very touching one with the old lady being taken off a respirator and her daughter and her best friends gathering around her as she passed away. June Lockhart and Betty Garrett were among the friends, and it's one of GREY'S most tear-inducing episodes.

I really want to apologize to TCB for the remark I made yesterday about "going blonde". He suggested he might bleach his hair and take over the role of Louisa in "The Fantasticks." I asked if, in his case, wouldn't he have to darken his hair to go blonde.

That was most insensitive of me. I well remember how I felt when I found my first gray hair. I knew right then that when I found another, I'd just dye!

Pixar hasn't had a dud yet, so I'm hoping it's as entertaining as their other wonderful films.

Before I lay down for the nap, I watched about an hour of DUBARRY WAS A LADY. This MGM musical has never been a special favorite despite having great talent in it. I still find it fairly dull going.

While the transfer is good on average, there were those pesky color fluctuations again, especially during Zero Mostel's Charles Boyer impersonation and for a moment during Virginia O'Brien's number. Skelton hadn't begun his dream sequence yet, so I'll be curious to see how that looks.
