But not as obsessed as some girl who would go see Urinetown 200 times and The Wedding Singer 140 times .

Did they do a Broadway musical of The Wedding Singer?

Also, where is the Camelot revival with Michael York playing?

Ewww. :P

Speaking of spit makes me think of the years I spent packing up our pops orchestra and how much I appreciated the brass players who brought newpapers to drain their spitvalves on instead of just letting it spew all over the floor...the music stands...and the electrical cables I had to wrap up by hand.

I usually handed out the paychecks to the players at the end of the job. The "neat" players always got their checks first!

Only have a few minutes to post since I must leave in a minute to go feed my friend's dogs for the evening.

Matt H, your friends are lucky to have such a good, caring friend nearby!

Did they do a Broadway musical of The Wedding Singer?

Yep.  Just like they did a Broadway musical on the first two books of Anne Rice's vampire series, Lestat.... :-\

The Wedding Singer closed in this past December.  Lestat closed in May.  :-\

However, I still would like to see the cast album released since we spent so much time getting it done.  Ah, well... Hopefully, my next Broadway show will run longer than eight weeks (including the previews), and have an OCR the record label actually wants to release.

Well, in my experience with pit bands, it's usually not the spit you have to worry about.  It's the... Well...  Let's just say, at least you can see and not smell spit.

DR edi, I use my hand.  I do clear clean copy, I double check like mad so there are few errors. and I don't need to proof my work.

My musician friends used to call me "Gutenberg", because I used technical pens and could write small enough to do marching band sized pages.

That day is long gone!

And last, but definitely not least, those vibes worked -- I got a call from San Diego Musical Theatre and they want to me come back and read for Ethan again for The Full Monty!!!

Hee-hah and congratulations, Cason!!

And congrats to DR Dakota...I was in the same spot a few months ago when I had to talk to a big class of college kids but it turned into a Q&A and that was much easier. I am always petrified for days when I have to do anything involving speaking in public. I just like to stay in my little dark room, honing my craft, like a sniper.

Well... Since I actually have to have a productive day tomorrow - lots of stuff I need to get done before heading to Atlanta early Wednesday morning - I should get ready for bed.  -And if it turns out that I'll be starting rehearsals on Tuesday too... Well...

Goodnight.

Edi, I love the fact that Fargo has embraced the Fargo theatre and there is an active drive to keep the original charm through restoration. It even has an old Wurlitzer Organ that still works. It is a beautiful theatre albeit very small.

Up to last weekend my messed up shoulder and neck were feeling pretty good... until Wednesday....

Howard McGillin also used to spit - I remember it during Drood

Maybe they should have called it "Drool".

Alas, when Nell Carter lost her balance in DC on stage at the National Theatre in DC during one of the runs of Ain't Misbehavin', there was no net...

I remember when Frankie Avalon was working without Annette.

Well... that's why some pit players play with baseball caps.

I remember working one Nutcracker show where the snow machine ran amok and blew tons of snow right into the pit. The string players were having to blow the snow off their music while they were playing.
